I love this citronella. I used 20ml mixed with 10ml of lemon verbena and then I turned around and did the same again but mixed it with 10ml of peppermint eucalyptus. Oh my, I can’t keep it in stock. It has such a lovely scent and boy does it keep the pesky flies and insects away. Mixing the fragrances does wonders. I am using 464. I have had no issues with any burning or any other problems and my customers love it.

Has anyone ever used a wooden wic with this oil? Wanting to try something new and I love the wooden wics but Scared to death to try them out.

Just received it today it smells good!!! I will be making my first batch of candles tomorrow!!! Can’t wait to see how they work!!!! If it lights like a torch I will use a longer lighter!!!

This is the strongest citronella that I've tested out of 4 and I've used it for the last 2 summers to fight mosquitoes (Michigan's state bird!). The only negative are that it really is SUPER strong, so beware when you make your candles AND that on the first lighting of the candle, the whole top lights on fire. In my experience, blowing it out and relighting it does the trick and it doesn't do it again. I think it's just excess oil burning off that the wax doesn't fully absorb or something. We just make sure to always have it within our eye line, which you should do anyways, but since we only use it outdoors it's not really of much concern. I'll keep making them because they definitely work but I only make these for friends and personal use. I don't think I'd sell them due to the fact that they do catch on fire.

I mainly ordered this scent because of it's insect repelling properties, but after opening the bottle, I was nauseated! I cannot stand the smell! I just finished by first batch, and I guess I will see how much I like the cold throw, or hot throw. Not sure if I will order again. This might just be a personal preference thing. I will see how much customers like it.

These have a really strong cold throw, but a pleasant hot throw. Normally I use 9% load with GBG464, but with this oil I have to use only 6%. We were having an issue with ants in my bathroom (I guess it's a summer thing) so my wife suggested we just place a couple of the citronella candles in there. We didn't see the ants for almost a week. Not saying there is a correlation, but it was nice to be ant-free for awhile.

Using an 8% FO load and CD wicks - Burns perfectly in soy~ no issues with drowning out.

My Customer comments are: it smells like lemon grass and they are loving it. Works great for keeping those pesky bugs away too!

The scent of this fragrance is pretty much like the essential oil, almost identical. I found with this oil that my normal wax/wick combo wasn't enough. The wicks smoldered out after about 2 burns. After that they never recovered, so I would say wick up. I use GB 464 Soy wax and ECO wicks. My fragrance percentage is 8%.
