I just got this one today and I LOVE it. Its mysterious, which intrigues me about about a FO, especially since I tend to mix blends that stand out from the crowd. I definitely don't smell burnt leather or smoke, or more of the other - its balanced well, in my opinion, and just in time for what I have planned.

Suede and Smoke evokes an atmosphere of relaxing with an after-dinner cordial in an old fashioned smoking room with worn leather chairs and smoldering cigars. Bold notes of leather and smoke make this a great option for sensual, or masculine candle lines. Hints of amyris, musk, and moss complement the smokiness of this intensely earthy fragrance.
Whether used on its own or as a luxurious, smoky complement in a custom blend, Suede and Smoke will capture your imagination.
This fragrance is infused with natural essential oils, including cedarwood, patchouli, labdanum, and pine.

We did not experience any acceleration or separation. This fragrance was easy to work with and was slow to come to a light trace. After 24 hours we observed some fragrance pooling on the surface, which we blotted away before unmolding. The soap block had a beige and purple swirl discoloration and when we cut the bars the center remained a light yellow shade. We found a small golf ball sized area where the soap started to gel. The scent was quite strong but not as intense as the out of bottle character of the fragrance. After 30 days the soap had discolored to a purplish brown. The scent was very strong with a nice balance of leather notes and subtle smokiness.
I'm a fan of more masculine scents, and this one is a pretty confusing scent to describe. It just smells...odd. It pulls a more smokey scent than anything, and not like a campfire or fireside smoke - it's more walking into a dusty smoke-filled room that hasn't opened a window in years, or as another reviewer mentioned, it smells like lighting a leather jacket on fire. It's not really appealing on its own, but could possibly be used as a mixin to create a more in-depth scent, but as it stands now, I'm not sure what to do with it.
I don't usually like masculine scents but this scent is SEXY. I'm using it for a themed line but I'm in love. It is extremely accurate to it's name and description.
I got these for my halloween wax melts, and honestly? I enjoy this a lot more than most of the other masculine scents I've gotten. It kind of smells like a sexy old librarian man. I might extend it to my candle range. It just smells that good.
So, I don't hate this fragrance. It is powerful. The scent is unique, it smells like a brand new leather interior the suede is very distinct but I would like more from this scent. I'll definitely use as a blender with other scents. I highly recommend for anyone looking to bring a different range of scents to candles or soaps but be aware it is very strong in high percentages.
On first sniff I thought OH HECK NO. But, I'm willing to keep an open mind. I[ve wanted scents which would appeal to men and hoping this one will "mellow out" once its mixed with the wax and allowed to season. Time will tell.
Smells exactly like suede and smoke. Love this one.
I am NOT a fan of this scent. It smells like smoke, only. not leather. I felt like I walked into a southern diner in the 1960's and everyone is smoking cigarettes. If you like cigars, this might be for you. My husband remarked we should name the candles "Grandpa's Recliner."
This is such a delight and now our personal favorite. Smells like walking into the tack room of a barn. Picking up your saddle and walking over to your horse! Just gorgeous!
This is definitely a unique scent. To me it smells like a brand new leather jacket being lit on fire, the combined scent of new leather and smoke. Would be an interesting blender but I’m personally not a fan
I honestly can't say I've smelled another FO like this one. I've bought other smokey scents and suede scents but this one doesn't smell like any of them. I definitely recommend this one on the uniqueness factor alone. Can't wait to play around with it.
This scent isn’t bad. It is odd, though. I’m getting more of a leather and smoke scent. It’s a bit heavy on the smoke. It smells more like a burning leather jacket. It’s not a bad scent just not ideal to use on its own. I think this is a scent that has to be combined with another one in order for it to work.
If you’re looking for something smoky, this isn’t really it. I get more of a sweet hay and leather combo from it. Would be a great blend.
I cannot tell why I like this fragrance, but I do! However, I'm unsure of how it would smell in a candle. I am curious if anyone has or is planning on using it as a blend with another fragrance. It reminds me of how I feel about the "Library" smell. It's familiar, and distinct. I want to compare the smell to a brand new pair of suede and leather shoes. Interesting.
