The worst

Timeline:

ME: June 28th on the chat: Hello will the jars actually be in stock by mid July as the website now says. This changed from an ETA of June 22nd so I am worried.

CS: Yes mid July

June 29th Candle Science updated this to end of August AT THE EARLIEST.

This is the most unreliable company I have ever dealt with. I know many of you like myself are trying to run a business based on these products. Perhaps we can work together on getting something similar through a more reliable company.

Nightmare

I went to order more of these to fill the 20+ orders I have to find yet another issue. Forever out of stock but now discontinued? Ugh.

What happened?

I just received the new jars for the second time and the white paint is so thin that it looks a little cheap and I see some scratches where the paint came off?? I’m so upset! I have to get this wholesale order out and have to use them, but, they don’t look like the samples I just brought into their shop the other day! I am hoping they will be ok with them, otherwise I may lose a client...
not happy in California.

Disappointed with the new look.

Candle Science Team,

I have been a customer for a long time. I love CandleScience and have been very pleased with everything y'all do until now. I've based the vision of my small candle company on your white tumblers and the quality of the new ones are just unacceptable. I'm guessing the new jars had something to do with the whole backordering event that happened last year or the year before. You've obviously changed manufacturers to someone more dependable that will actually supply the jars your customers need, which is appreciated. However, they feel different, the glass is not as thick, they sound different when pinged, and they break easily so I know for certain that this isn't just a switch in painters. This is a totally new jar. The jars look cheap, they chip easily, and they're costing your loyal customers money because we cannot sell our candles in these chipped jars. The frustrating part is they continue to chip in packaging so you think you have a "good" jar, you pour, and then package, only to have a customer call and say it arrived messed up. So disappointing. Please take our thoughts on this seriously and consider discontinuing these jars and replacing them with higher quality containers. You have a higher quality standard than this as do your customers for their products.

Poor quality jars

Tested and built our candle business launch based on the white tumbler jars that Candle
Science offered in most of 2017. The new jars are so disappointing. The jars are now painted on the outside instead of the inside. We have areas of paint chipped or peeling near the bottom of the jars making them unusable since a label will not cover this area.

The glass is weak. Five jars broke in my hand while wicking around 80 jars. Never had a single one of the old jars break while wicking or even when shipped ground. The new tumbler jars were shipped on a pallet and several were broken during transport.

I believe the replacement jar was a definite downgrade.

Disappointed

Why, oh why, did you replace the old white and black tumblers? The quality of these jars are very cheap and finish is awful. I am very disappointed, please please bring the old ones back as soon as possible.

Fixed what wasn't broken

I'll preface by saying that I love CandleScience so I don't care for leaving poor reviews, but I believe that most have a shared opinion with this glassware. I used to LOVE these tumblers. The paint was never the issue, the glass itself was, between warping and bubbling. The paint on the inside made for a stunning sleek look. Now that the paint is on the outside of the white and black tumblers it not only looks messy and scuffed but it scratches off and looks unprofessional. My guess is the tumblers are placed in the box prior to them being properly dried; hence the paint on the cardboard inserts and the scuffing.

Finish questionable?

I just received four cases of the white jars as I loved them prior to them pulling the old ones. These look the same, but when I had to remove a label from the jar, it scratched the finish off? I’m not sure if this was a fluke or not, but be careful when you are cleaning these as not to scratch the paint off. other than that, they seem the same.

Very dissapointed

I purchase all of my boxes and white, black and clear jars from Candlescience and my customers love them. I know it’s not their fault they don’t have them in stock but it is hurting my wholesale business. I am a small company (just me) and wholesale is what keeps me in business. I am down to 12 black jars, not very good for Christmas candles. I have looked elsewhere for jars that fit the boxes I have and can only find 10oz jars. They are nice but not the same. I truly hope they get them in soon.....

This review is for CandleScience itself. The jars are beautiful, but the fact that they haven't gotten it together with quantities before the Holidays is really disappointing. If you are someone thinking of using these and need a consistent supplier, LOOK ELSEWHERE. These along with the black and amber have gone on back order right in the middle of the busiest time of the year.
