I love it! Pairs really well with other fragrances. Strong, bold, and sweet.

We did experience a moderate amount of acceleration and some ricing. Once we brought the batter to an emulsion there were signs of ricing, but we continued to stick blend until the batter was at a medium trace and everything held together as expected. Once we started to pour into the mold, the soap began to thicken. Be prepared to work quickly once you add fragrance. After 24 hours, the soap had set up perfectly and came out of the mold easily. The discoloration was a very pale yellow and we did not see that the soap had almost reached a full gel until after the 30 day cure and the soap had returned to the typical off white color. The scent was gorgeous but on the mild side—even after 30 days the scent was still mild but retained its beautiful floral character. Due to the acceleration, a spoon plop design would work great with really bold tropical color patterns.*Note - This fragrance was tested at a 5% fragrance load. With the release of IFRAs 49th Amendment this fragrance can now be used at 4.79% to remain IFRA compliant.
I got this as a free sample gift and used it in some wax melts and it smells absolutely amazing. Will be purchasing the larger bottle.
I adore this scent, I ended up ordering a bigger bottle after I finished the 1 oz one as a tester. It is such a lovely scent on its own but I also love mixing it with other scents.
Very nice floral smell. Subtle. 7% 444 soy wax. I would recommend.
This one is a winner. It's clearly a delicious tropical flower. Mostly I'm getting plumeria / Hawaiian white ginger blossoms, but whatever it is, it's a gorgeous tropical floral without any weird notes (I'm looking at you, coconut) to mess it up. Reminds me very much of the airport in Honolulu, with all the lei sellers perfuming the air with their wares.
its sweet , i just love it! i'm adding it to my line
This is a great tropical floral scent to mix with -- love it!
Guys, I'm reading these reviews and I cant relate!!! this scent I purchased from another candle maker before I started making candles. I fell in love, it smells just like the Michael kors original perfume which is my favorite!!! The HT is amazing maybe because she uses coconut wax instead of 464. idk but I love it it's strong and I smell it all over my top floor.
Did test in this FO and instantly fell in love with the soft yet calming smell. The CT was light but the HT gave a stronger smoothing smell. I thought because it was light smell that it wouldn’t give off much but I shut my room door to see would I smell in room. I actually smelled it as soon as starting walking towards the room and the door was closed. Once I opened the door the whole room had a beautiful light floral smell. Thanks Candle Science
I've used this fragrance in MP soap, bath bombs, and blended fragrances for candles and it just smells amazing.
This fragrance had a light cold throw but no hot throw at 6% on 464 soy wax. Huge waste of money, as I’m stuck with a huge batch of non smelling candle. The frustration and disappointment is killing me.
Hi there! Thank you so much for leaving a review. Our Support Team has reached out to you via email with some helpful tips!
I was pretty excited when I purchased Hibiscus Palm. The cold throw was very little and the hot throw was nonexistent and I use 444 wax. I tested two different methods.
I was so excited to use this scent. OOTB smells divine, but like another customer I had ZERO hot or cold throw in paraffin wax. I debated on soy or paraffin since I work with both both. Maybe soy would throw better? Maybe a body care only fragrance?? Won’t purchase again.
People seem to like it, but I think it smells like pickles
Smells like a delicious tropical flower. I mostly smell plumeria or white Hawaiian ginger but since I don't recall ever smelling a Hibiscus, I'll take it. It's lovely. I'm going to use this in a lot of body products this summer.
I absolutely love this scent! I want to put it in everything.
I'm disappointed with this. I couldn't smell anything with this oil when I made candles
This is a perfect scent for your floral or even a spa line. Hibiscus is our state flower and I was so impressed with how pleasant this FO is - knowing very well that hibiscus doesnt have a smell at all. Thank you for this, its beautiful!
I usually don't like floral but this one is amazing! Fresh, green and floral.. My customers really like it as well.
I had to take out some reeds and add more base but after some tweaking I got this just right and it's a very pretty scent. It didn't seem as strong right when I mixed it and added reeds but after the reeds had some time the scent was very overpowering! I like the scent and will order more but will for sure use less fragrance and more base.
After reading the reviews I decided to buy a sample size. Wow! I am so glad I tried it. I pour many test fragrances and write them all down in a book so I usually don't recall the name of the scent until I look it up. The bar I made with hibiscus palm kept grabbing my attention. I asked my husband what he thought and he loved it. He felt it would be good to add a complex scent that isn't overpowering to my product line. Love that it won't discolor. I used it in MP so I cannot speak to CP traits. I tried it in 5 different colors and experienced no morphing of the colors. It's a keeper for me. Time to buy a larger bottle!
I purchased a sample of this fragrance and was so please, and order a bigger bottle! Hibiscus Palm smells wonderful!! Such a beautiful combination! I would highly recommend this beautiful fragrance!!
This is a strong fragrance. It scented up the room it was in when I did a scent testing, as well as the adjoining room, too. If you aren't one for strong floral scents, you shouldn't buy this. If you love floral scents and strong fragrances, you won't be disappointed. I couldn't bring myself to give this 5 stars since I'm not a floral type of person, but I like to try the new scents when they come out. As far as CT/HT used with GB 444 wax, it performs beautifully, hence the 4 star rating.
This is a very specific scent. It smells like a fancy fragrance. It reminds me of the old Michael Kors perfume or Narcotic V. from Nasomatto. It burned beautifully and with a very strong HT. (I use coconut wax and HTP wicks). Is it for everyone? Probably not, but it is a wonderful scent and I will continue to order it. Can’t wait to try it in CP soap!
Love Love Love this scent!!! Yes, it accelerates and rices, but who cares when it smells like heaven? Next time I'll do a spoon plop instead of a swirl to compensate. It's a very delicate, clean smelling floral...one of my favorites ever. :-)
I liked the Island Hibiscus, but was not going to be ordering it anymore because it wasn't strong enough and didn't carry very well. This Hibiscus Palm is incredible!!! It is so pretty, balanced, and well rounded.
My son loved it, good enough for me
I’m so excited about this classy, clean scent! Hibiscus Palm is a beautiful addition to my earthy line! I can’t understand why anyone writes harsh and rude comments about an artist’s creation, especially when Candle Science always provides high-end scents and excellent customer service. What is the point of deterring people from trying a scent when we can’t all like the same scent? If we did, we would all buy the same perfume, eat the same food, date the same person, and so on. Life would be boring! I appreciate when people explain why a scent isn’t for them, and then state that they realize others may like it though. I love experimenting with Candle Science scents. I always find a scent combination that impresses me, even if I’m not madly in love with one of the scents on its own. If a scent doesn’t wow you, add to it and make it awesome! Please don't discontinue Hibiscus Palm because of poor reviews! My line would seem incomplete without it!
It is a no brainer to see them trying to mix what wasn't selling into a "new" fragrance. You guys gotta step your game up CS. Same with the Catus Flower those scents didn't do well and now they are mixing them to make something new. Which is ok but not with scents that weren't good. If you are going to mix something mix at least one that was very good. Hibiscus didn't sell well for me neither did Cactus Flower. Looks like I need to find more companies who make oils. Bulkapothecary needs to get their stuff together business wise they have all the scents in the world sometimes lol.
This is my new favorite fragrance and I hate floral scents, but this one has changed my mind. It smells great OOB and has a great HT and CT and I've only used 1 oz to 1 lb so far.
This smells exactly like BBW SWEET PEA scent.
I haven’t tried I’m a candle, but straight out the bottle it’s the perfect replica of you like that nostalgic scent
I hate the fact that they discontinued the island hibiscus because this new scent does not even come close to the previous scent . I do not like the scent at all!
The reviews so far have been inaccurate...this fragrance is fresh, mostly green with a spa like note to it. I definitely smell the palm with a slight floral note to balance it out a bit. Classy and fresh. I could see this being a best seller, especially in salons and spas! I've never smelled anything like it before; that's why I love CS! You guys have the BEST fragrances!!
I order all of the new fragrances, this one is very pleasant. Flowerly smells are not my favorite, but this one make me think twice. I used with soy wax and so far the hot throw is very good, cold throw is like having fresh flowers on the table.
I ordered the big jug, my new candles are curing!
It's perfect for my flowerly collection, is a keeper!!!
One of my favorite tropical scents OOB - I can't wait to play around with it more. I am confused as to why it has any negative reviews. I have had a hard time finding strong hibiscus FOs and this certainly does not disappoint!
The new Hibiscus scent has almost no scent, even directly out of the bottle. It's an extremely POOR replacement for Island Hibiscus which was STRONG, floral and exotic. This replacement is a total fail and I'm so sad to see it discontinued.
This is a very nice, genuine palm scent.
I am really, really sad now for real that Island Hibiscus is being discontinued because Hibiscus Palm does not even come close to the wonderful scent of Island Hibiscus...To put it mildly, I hate it but maybe you would like it. I smelled a strong citrusy smell that was just a little bit too strong for me...Oh well, I will hoard the 5 bottles of Island Hibiscus when I receive them....
