We did experience a moderate amount of acceleration and some ricing. Once we brought the batter to an emulsion there were signs of ricing, but we continued to stick blend until the batter was at a medium trace and everything held together as expected. Once we started to pour into the mold, the soap began to thicken. Be prepared to work quickly once you add fragrance. After 24 hours, the soap had set up perfectly and came out of the mold easily. The discoloration was a very pale yellow and we did not see that the soap had almost reached a full gel until after the 30 day cure and the soap had returned to the typical off white color. The scent was gorgeous but on the mild side—even after 30 days the scent was still mild but retained its beautiful floral character. Due to the acceleration, a spoon plop design would work great with really bold tropical color patterns.
