Choose a Variant

Product Update:
You may see some variation in the wax coating on the wick due to different coating processes. The variance of the wax coating on the wick has no impact on the burn of the candle.

About the CD Series
CD (Stabilo) wick is a flat braided cotton wick with paper threads woven into the cotton. The reinforced construction of the wick is designed to ensure a consistent burn with higher fragrance loads, especially with softer, more viscous natural waxes. The superior rigidity of CD wick allows the wick to stand up straighter for easier pours and keeps the wick upright in a deep melt pool.

Note: Any carbon buildup should be removed once the wick is extinguished.

CD wicks are lead and zinc free.

Conveniently secure your wicks with Wick Stickers (large) or Wick Stickers Pro.

Not what I expected

I was disappointed in how the wick mushroomed and burned hotter than I thought. Not a fan!

Does not burn as suggested

I am so disappointed. The shipping is so expensive so I took a lot of care making sure I followed the directions on every product (all of which are from CS) I am burning in a 3.7 diameter and this is the recommended wick. It burned so slow and tunneled. Causing me to have no hot throw. I made the same candles with wood wicks from makesy (using their recommendations) and it’s fine. I changed nothing else about my process. So now I have 100 wicks and wasted 6 oz of my oils and - bunch of my expensive wax.
Now I need to size up or something, but I can’t stand the thought of paying $17 shipping again and then maybe not work. The CD26 have terrible reviews too. Ugh.

They worked perfect!

I used these recently in my fall collections and wow! They paired beautifully with the black bubble tins 6.75oz and 464 soy wax. Both my hit and cold throws were on point!

Burn Baby Burn 🔥

This is the wick CS recommends for the new bubbler tins & they were right! I tried two other sizes and ultimately this is the best fit. CD 22’s burn is strong & unwavering. The flame gets higher than I’m used to with my 6oz tins but that just adds to the beauty of the new tins. You should definitely trim often to minimize any black smoke. All in all, I’m happy with these!

Kind of a bummer

I am very new to this candle making thing but did reach out for recommendations on what to buy for the jars I had. Too much smoke and massive soot inside my jar. I bought a huge bag of these and will probably not use any more. Im back to square one on what to buy again. Bummer for sure

Mushroom and burn to quick

I bought this as suggested for the 8oz tureen jar I conducted my burn test today and discovered that this wick is to large for the jar .. it did burn all the way to the edge but it burned down very quickly and developed a mushroom so I’m not sure what other wick size to try I guess I will try the next size down ?

Sooting

I have used these wicks in a number of my candles and the sooting and mushroom is horrific. I have had multiple of my customers give me horrible feedback on the black smoke these give off!! I love CS but wow I am super disappointed.

Soot and mushrooming

Really unhappy that I have to paint my walls after burning this candle for a few hours. These wicks mushroom and have to constantly be trimmed and they still create soot.

Mushrooming and Soot

I have used many sizes of these wicks, and even when using the correct size for the vessel, I am getting mushrooming with every burn, even with regular trimming. The flame dances quite a bit and with white vessels, I notice quite a bit of soot. I thought using a cotton wick would avoid these issues, especially the mushrooming, but I have had issues with every burn.

Ordered these February 19 2021 and I don’t know what they changed but the flame is crazy and flickers too much. Wasn’t like this the last time I ordered. Very upset with these
