Caribbean Blue Candle dye block color swatch
Choose a Variant

Candle dye blocks produce vibrant colors in both soy and paraffin waxes, and are an easy way to add a unique touch to your candles, melts, and tarts. Break them in half or cut into smaller pieces for lighter shades. You can also experiment with adding single dye blocks to different amounts of wax for a variety of custom shades. Our candle dye blocks are packaged in foil bags that prevent color from bleeding through to other surfaces.

  • 1 full block per 2 pounds (0.9 kg) of soy wax
  • 1 full block per 4 pounds (1.8 kg) of paraffin wax

Fragrance Oil Recommendations: Caribbean Teakwood, Ocean Breeze, Clean Cotton, High Tide, Sea Mist, Black Sea

Affordable + Wonderful!

I love these little dye blocks. I bought some of these and a bottle of the liquid dye to compare, and I can honestly say they're both pretty great. If you're looking for a cheaper option, this is the way to go, and the two little cubes that you get for 96 cents will last you forever. Since you only use tiny little shavings, and a little goes a long way, these are really a great bang for your buck. Make sure when adding the shavings, that your wax is hot enough to melt it down, and mix thoroughly to avoid little patches of more concentrated color. I would suggest eating the dye blocks a little (not to the point of melting) just to soften them a little before attempting to shave off pieces. These are a great way to get pretty pastel colors in soy wax, and easy to mix and mingle with other dyes. Always add a little more than you think you need!!!

UPDATE: Nice Coastal Blue but...

I am new to this. Just wanted to update my review. The coastal blue color turned out EXACTLY the color shown for Soy wax (which I used), and was not a darker color. Still very happy, just revising to make sure I note that the color is perfect and exactly the color shown. Absolutely perfect.

Nice Coastal Blue but...

I like this color very much. This is my first time using dyes (just started candle making), so I was really unprepared for how little I needed to use of the colors. I made my first one way too dark. Not any problem of the dye, just my inexperience I thought I'd pass along. Which really makes the dye even more economical. If you are looking for a dark blue, this one is great. If you are looking for a coastal blue, it would only take a little tiny bit in soy wax to do that. I might should wait until it dries to see, but so far they dry as I'd expect. Really nice with the Ocean Breeze scent. Still will look perfect in my living room with the coastal blue, vanilla and browns.
