I LOVE cocoa butter soap. CS doesn't carry it so I got the triple butter instead which sounded fun. The problem is that it just doesn't really harden very fast. Nor does it get as firm as I'd like. The paper I wrapped my soap in got really icky and damp and greasy. I had to wrap my bars in paper towels and let them drain and dry for days. I ended up just remelting them down and adding 2 pounds of cocoa butter to firm it all up. It is curing now but still SLOW.... I've never had to wait this long. Back to just straight cocoa butter for me. Sorry I tried.

Blending luxurious shea, cocoa, and mango butters, this soap base is specially designed to nourish and cleanse the skin. Mango and cocoa butter are renowned for their restorative moisturizing benefits, while the soothing power of shea butter provides a pleasant finishing touch to this base. I made this soap last night and the process of melting it smelled so bad that my stomach and head started to hurt instantly. I also didn’t like how the bottom of the soap turned out, I did like how sudsy it made my hands but I wish I could’ve added more fragrance to this because the base was so overpowering. Does anyone know the max amount of fragrance I can add to this soap base? Thanks in advance!!

This soap is very creamy and moisturizing but it falls a little short in the lathering department. Easy to work with and feels great on the skin but I wish it lathered a lot more.
Was very excited to get this base. Reviews say it has a great lather..... It does NOT! Its like trying to work lather out of a stone. If you try for long enough you can get a bit of lather but nothing note worthy. It doesn't even feel like the soap is going onto my hands which is curious. I have to really work the bar to feel like i got a bit. Sadly disappointed.
I’ve had no issues with a strong lather with this base. Takes FO well and moisturizes the skin so much better than the shea alone, my absolute favorite!
I recently bought this base to make soap it doesn’t lather nor foam are all. It doesn’t leave your skin moisturized. Complete failure.
This is my favorite base to use. It holds fragrance well, and creates a hard, long lasting bar of soap. I’ve played around with adding all kinds of things to this base - mica, dead sea mud, ground oatmeal, poppy seeds - and I’m always pleasantly surprised with how the bar turns out. I wish Candlescience carried more soap making products like these so I could shop for everything in one place, but I’m a happy repeat customer.
I read the reviews and thought this soap would be amazing but it totally sucked. I can hardly get a few bubbles of lather with a washcloth. It does pour melt and pour easy and holds fragrance ok but overall this soap is just awful. I didn’t feel moisturized at all after using. I bought a few 2lb tubs and hope I can return some that are unopened.
This is my favorite m & p base. I've tried SFIC and Stephenson brands. I've tried the goats milk, shea butter, aloe (SFIC) and triple butter bases. The Stephenson Triple Butter is my favorite for the way it feels on my skin. EXTREMELY moisturizing! The Triple butter base works fine in swirls and layering techniques.
My only complaint is that the base remains soft, kind of rubbery, when compared to the other m & p bases. Also, this soap has a lower melting point than the other soaps. You can see strings of the embed appear when using a clear base to cover them.... In other words, the embed can start to melt because of its lower melting point. Despite the drawbacks of this soap, it is still my favorite soap base!
LOVE IT! Just started making soaps after being into candles for decades. This is the BEST soap base I have found. Pours well, moisturizing, generous lather. GET. THIS. SOAP. BASE.
I've been purchasing this base for my company for some time now and I am very pleased with it! My customers love it! It lathers very well. Extremely moisturizing.
I've been making soy candles and wax melts for several years and decided to add soap to my line.
I ordered the Triple Butter Soap base and Sea Salt and Orchid fragrance.
OMG, it smells amazing!!!
The soap is creamy and lathers very well.
It was super easy and took no time at all.
This is my first batch and I'm extremely pleased. I have faith my customers will love them too.
