Tonka and Oud Fragrance Oil
Choose a Variant

Tonka and Oud is a complex, modern fragrance oil with high-end appeal. This woody scent begins with top notes of amaretto and powder as it gives way to a heart of tonka and balsam. Notes of rum, musk, and sweet, resinous oud make up the base of this intriguing fragrance. This pleasantly mellow scent is perfect for “everyday” home fragrance options like candles and wax melts. Tonka and Oud turns bath and body care creations into beautiful gifts for any season. We can also imagine Tonka and Oud as an ideal scent for a men’s personal care line—think beard oils and shaving balms.

This fragrance oil is infused with natural essential oils, including fir needle, cedarwood, lemon, peppermint, and palmarosa.

Blends well with: Caribbean Teakwood

Cold Process Soap Performance

Dark Brown

Lye Water Temperature 106ºF (41.1°C)
Oil Temperature 115ºF (46.1°C)

We did experience some acceleration but no separation. The mixture came to a light trace quickly, and with just a few additional pulses of the stick blender we had a medium-thick trace. The batter initially poured into the mold easily, but then started to clump as the last little bit was poured. Tamping the mold after pouring did smooth out the top. We did experience a wide variety of color changes throughout the process. When adding the lye water to the fragranced oils, the oils turned grey. As we began stick blending, the mixture turned a light yellowish-brown color. After 24 hours, the outer edges of the soap were a dark mustard yellow shade while the inside remained a light lemon yellow shade. The scent was super strong! After 30 days the scent had faded slightly, but was still pleasantly strong. The final color of the bar is dark brown. The discoloration and acceleration will limit the design options, but the final scent would be well worth a simple design.

OMG... I can't get enough!

By far my favorite scent from CS! It was love at first sniff. I used a 10oz container 6006 at 10% and it fills a large room. If I could give it 10 stars I would!

Beautiful to blend with EO's

I blend this with similar EO's and it is beautiful! I always sell out!

Not for me

Reminds me of roll on oils from my local mall. Wasn't bad just not my type of fragrance. The smell I think of is Amber and Musk but my mother loves that fragrance. I'm not a musk liking person. Perfect for someone who loves amber or musky fragrances.

Not for me

I made wax melts with 10% FO and it was WAY too strong in a medium-sized room using only one cube. It's an overpowering old man's cologne smell mixed with baby powder. It was nauseating for the whole family and I guess I was expecting something else based on all of the 5-star reviews.

This scent is so good but hard to put into words. Great CT and HT was excellent. I use this in candles and had great results. Thank you for a wonderful scent!! My whole house smelled amazing!

Right out of the bottle I was in love. The fragrance has so many layers and complexities. I can’t wait to pour it into candles and also use it in my line of men’s body and beard care products.

I want to bathe in this

What is this luxuriousness?!?! I have never smelled oud or tonka so obviously I am missing out. This is a sophisticated sweet smell. Not baked goods sweet in my opinion. Mild cold throw but wonderful hot throw. I get a bit of the powder note too.

Rick, warm, tonka heavy

This is such a gorgeous scent, I don't even miss the oud, which only comes through subtly. The tonka note is strong and rich and has that decadent dessert meets wet woods appeal. It will quickly overwhelm other fragrances but blends really well when you scale back. It's perfectly androgynous too and is suitable for feminine and masculine scents. This one's a keeper for me.

More than what I expected!

I fell in love at first sniff! CT is great. Still have to cure so I hope the HT is equally as great! 100% soy wax. I think it deserve a wooden wick just because I’m imagining the crackling sound paired with the scent! MUST HAVE!!
