cozy coffee shop inspiration: candles and wax melts Wake up your product line with these café-inspired candle and wax melt ideas.

Comforting and cozy, yet energizing and inspiring, there’s just something about coffee shop vibes!

Creating your coffee shop collection

We love the scent of coffee. It’s comforting, warm, familiar, and a fantastic blending fragrance. Even better, it’s popular year-round!

Our inspiration collection features not just coffee, but the whole shop: the ambiance, expertly crafted drinks, exciting assortment of treats, and scent of freshly roasted coffee beans in the air.

This article features coffee shop-inspired candle and wax melt projects. Browse our examples, then discover the products and tutorials we used to create them.

Candles that bring the coffeehouse home

The fragrance blend and name of your coffee candles can be as unique as your drink order at the local coffee shop.

Our inspiration collection features a year-round coffee candle and one that leans into festive fall trends.

Fresh Roasted

As a nod to our favorite thing about coffee shops, our staple coffee candle replicates the scent of coffee beans roasting at your local coffeehouse.

We used coffee bean silicone molds to create decorative embeds and Coffee Shop fragrance oil, which perfectly captures the ambiance of a cozy coffee shop.

Pumpkin Spice Latte

Blend your favorite coffee fragrance with Pumpkin Spice Buttercream for the ultimate in a fall starter pack, the PSL.

Coffee candle tags:

We used 2” x 3.5” hang tags from Avery that we designed to look like a receipt from a coffee shop.

We custom-designed our labels with a graphic design tool, then uploaded and printed them with Avery WePrint™.  Head to avery.com to browse designs, create your own, and take 10% off all label orders!

Tea time

Tea candles ensure that your coffee shop collection offers something for everyone. Plus, adding a few tea-inspired candles allows us to add bright pops of color to our coffee shop color scheme!

Matcha & Bergamot

The combination of matcha and bergamot tea—bright yet balanced—inspired our first tea candle. We replicated the true-to-life color of vibrant matcha tea with Lime Green Liquid Candle Dye.

Chamomile Tea

Channel a more relaxing mood with an earthy chamomile tea candle. We topped ours with flower-shaped wax embeds that mimic chamomile flowers floating on the surface of a mug of tea.

The tea on the tags:

To mimic tea bag tags, we used 2” x 3.5” hang tags from Avery.

Macarons: A little treat!

Add a sweet treat to your coffeehouse collection. We love macaron wax melts because they’re a beginner-friendly project that looks seriously impressive.

Make your own macaron wax melts with BW-921 and macaron-shaped silicone molds. Dust with mica for an ultra-fancy French patisserie vibe.
