Lavender Embers
Vibe check
- Modern, heady, and intriguing
The concept
- Lavender is such a classic, desirable scent and calls for different variations. We saw an idea for a smoked lavender scent and were immediately intrigued!
Our testers said…
-
“Very strong hot throw! Out of the bottle, this scent is incredibly smokey, much more so than while burning in a candle. In a candle, the lavender comes through much stronger.”
Candle maker’s note: We aren’t kidding. Do not judge this scent on the out of bottle aroma alone.
Trendspotting
-
If you’ve ever sat around a bonfire on a chilly night, and then wondered how you can capture that smokey smell that clings to your hair and clothes, you aren’t alone. Smokey fragrances, those with both a wisp of smoke and full-on smoke bombs, have risen in popularity over the years.
It’s no surprise that you’ll often see smokey notes in fine fragrances, like Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille, Heretic Smudge, and Le Labo Santal 33. After all, the word “perfume” is derived from the Latin per fumum, meaning “through smoke,” referring to the practice of burning fragrant materials as religious offerings.

Matcha and Bergamot
Vibe check
- Fresh, herbal, and vibrant
The concept
- Matcha is a gap in our fragrance line, and one you frequently request from us. We’ve been trying to pin down a great matcha scent for a while now–this is the best one we’ve tested by far!
Our testers said…
- “Fantastic execution of a matcha scent, one of the better tea fragrances I've ever smelled. Nice strong hot throw.”
Candle makers, make sure you’re testing Matcha and Bergamot in a candle and not just smelling out-of-the-bottle. In a burning candle, the earthy, herbal characteristics of this scent are the star while the citrus elements take a supporting role; the out-of-bottle aroma is the opposite.
Trendspotting
- Matcha cake pops, matcha lattes, matcha protein powder…matcha is everywhere! Made from powdered green tea leaves, matcha is a high quality, coveted ingredient originating in Japan.
- While it’s become more recognizable to the general public in the West over the last few years, there’s still plenty of interest in this potent antioxidant–including a matcha scent in your product line is bound to generate excitement.

Rose and Oud
Vibe check
- Sultry, intriguing, and modern
The concept
-
Rose fragrances may have the unfortunate perception of being old-fashioned and boring to some, and we wanted to challenge that with a super sultry, modern interpretation.
Prim and proper, Rose and Oud is not. If grandma caught you wearing this you wouldn't be allowed out of the house. If other rose fragrances are like ballet slippers, Rose and Oud is like a pair of vinyl stiletto boots.
Our testers said…
- “Wow, this is one sexy rose! The rose note isn’t overwhelming at all, it’s a beautiful balance to the woody oud and spicy peppercorn.”
Trendspotting
-
Blending florals with woods is a favorite of perfumers–the marriage of these two fragrance families just seems to work. Add in the spiciness of black peppercorn, a dash of dark, luscious blackberry and the result is truly something special. This fragrance turns a classic on its head in the best possible way.

Solar Sands
Vibe check
- Fresh, coastal, and modern
The concept
- We love a good coconut scent. Solar Sands is particularly lovely and modern–we just couldn’t resist adding it to our line after testing!
Our testers said…
- “Gorgeous coconut blend. Love how it’s lightened by the amber notes. Would make for a fantastic summery spa fragrance!”
Trendspotting
-
The marriage of coconut and dry woods is a favorite among perfumers. You’ll almost always spot a coconut scent in summer fragrance collections, but elevated coconut scents are a different beast entirely. The addition of notes like teakwood and amber to classic coconut creates a high end, expensive feel that translates well to luxe collections.

Peach Mango Bellini
Vibe check
- Happy, fruity, and fun
The concept
- Consider Peach Mango Bellini as an updated, improved version of Mango and Tangerine. It’s a more modern take on that type of vibrant fruit fragrance.
Our testers said…
- “Love this update to Mango and Tangerine. The citrus is much fresher, the mango more true-to-life. The sandalwood and petitgrain base notes keep it grounded.”
Trendspotting
- OK, who doesn’t love a bellini?! This popular fruity libation is a brunch staple, and different variations on the classic peach bellini can be seen on cocktail menus everywhere. You’ve also probably spotted peach bellini, or peach prosecco, candle scents in many of your favorite big brand stores. And no wonder, it’s a fun, widely appealing fragrance that is sure to be a hit in your own line.

Limoncello Creme
Vibe check
- Modern, decadent, and delicious
The concept
- With Limoncello Cream, we aimed to create a modern, decadent gourmand with a lemony twist that is distinct from our much-loved Lemon Pound Cake. Lemon fragrances can be tough to capture, and can result in a “fuel-like” note when burning–this is due to the presence of citrus essential oils in the fragrance formulation, which sometimes give off that “fuel” aroma when burned. But you won’t find that in Limoncello Cream–it offers only the fresh, juicy goodness of citrus scents.
Our testers said…
- “A gorgeous lemon! Always love to experience a lemon or citrus fragrance with no hints of ‘fuel.’ The whipped cream note perfectly balances the lemon.”
Trendspotting
- Vibrant, buttery shades of yellow are popping up everywhere in Spring ‘23 fashion lines. Viva Magenta may be the Color of the Year, but Limoncello is having a moment of its own.
- Translate this fashion moment to your candle or body care line by incorporating this happy yellow hue. Candle jars like our Buttercream Modern Ceramic Tumbler and Yellow Iridescent Tumblers are the perfect fit.

Freesia and Lilac
Vibe check
- Luminous, delicate, and airy
The concept
- Freesia flowers are a favorite–sweet, airy, and radiant. It’s tough to capture and replicate in fragrance but it’s a sought after scent among floral lovers.
Our testers said…
- “This is a beautiful floral, the accents of lilac complement the freesia so pleasantly. Strong hot throw, too!”
Trendspotting
-
Freesia is one of those notes that is a perfumery staple. Often used as a companion note versus being the star of the show, freesia adds freshness and luminosity to other florals. Find it in iconic fragrances like Calvin Klein Eternity and Elizabeth Arden Red Door.
