Wow

I had no idea this scent was going to smell that good. I've smelled 100s of scents over the years and this one made me stop, and keep smelling it and say holy frijoles lol not everyone will feel the same, we all have our preference but this smells so. So... So. Good. Wowee

Is one of my favorite scents among customers!

I wasn't so sure about this scent when I purchased it but it has proven to be a winner! I did my first festival of the year today and Vanilla Orchid sold our within an hour! The cold throw and heat throw are both amazing. It's a keeper for me!

I didn't try it by itself in 464 soy wax candle, but blended it since it only has a 2 next to the soy wax in description. Blended it gave a moderate HT. I also used it in a shave cream and it is wonderful!!! I didn't use vanilla stabilizer either and so far it has stayed white. LOVE the smell of this FO.

Don’t judge OOB!

This fragrance was a rollercoaster for me, but absolutely worth it. I had been actively hoping Candlescience would release a vanilla orchid clean scent, since most sheer floral vanillas by other vendors are pretty toxic (I review the SDS of everything I buy), and I was ecstatic when I saw this in the spring lineup. I immediately ordered it and several other fragrances to play around with. However, when I opened the bottle, this oil had a weird slightly sharp/sour/sickly note that I can only describe as “chemical”, and I was really worried it would be a bust. I put some on a cotton pad to get a better sense for it, and the unpleasant note remained… until it had sat for a day or so and dried completely. At that point, it became a lovely light floral with graceful sheer vanilla, so I decided to give it a chance.

I blended it with Rose Petals and made some dip incense with that blend, and I’ve been waiting weeks for it to soak in and dry fully. Finally today I got to test a stick, and WOW. This is incredible. I’m not picking up on any of the rose, but the vanilla orchid is an absolutely lovely smell I can best describe as “heavenly”. It’s warm, vanillic, slightly powdery and woodsy from the incense stick, and lightly floral in the top notes, all without being overly sweet or headache-y. This is a scent I want to smell every day. It’s comforting, soft, and just an absolutely angelic vanilla. If you didn’t like it out of the bottle, give it a try in something, and make sure to let it cure fully for the pungent chemical note to fade. This is absolutely beautiful, and although I still need to play around more with blends, I can easily see this being one of my first big bottle purchases.
