Updated January 2025 - Revised Recipe

Lye Temperature 69.9ºF
Oil Temperature 93.9ºF

Fragrance was added at a light trace. We experience excessive acceleration, but no acceleration. The soap seized almost immediately and does not play well in cold process soap.

After 30 days, the soap discolored to a Light Yellow. Scent retention is strong and true.

We recommend this fragrance for use in hot process soapmaking and melt and pour.

I had absolutely NO problems with this!
RollTideRhonda 2026-03-30

Oh my gosh! It has such a yummy, buttery hint to it! To me, it seems to have a slightly sweet aroma, too, like the croissant had one of those very light sugar glazes! I could close my eyes, take a deep breath and would almost swear one was in front of me! Ha!!
I was candle-making all day yesterday, resting my back betwixt batches. Late at night, I decided to go ahead and do a re-pour of a candle I'd made a couple of weeks ago. (I wanted to put it in a container with a wider mouth.) Anyway, with all of the sniffing I did from so many bottles, I was only mildly surprised to see Warm Croissant & Vanilla Element sitting on my workspace with the lids off! I figured I was tired & that's why I forgot.
Then this morning, I walked into my practically 15yo grandson's room and it smelled SO GOOD! Turns out HE picked Warm Croissant to scent his room along with the Vanilla Element! HahahaHAhaHAhaHa!! Not your average teenage boy's room aroma, thank goodness! I'd gotten him a diffuser to help with nosebleeds and he figured out one can add sent, too!
But as far as candles go, I've NEVER had any of the problems of "rusting." I stir for about 8-10 minutes at temps from 186°-189° and pour promptly at 135°. I don't know if that makes a difference. All i *do* know is we ALL apparently love it around here!
HahahaHAhaHAhaHa!

Blend With Honey Element!!!!!
Nick | The 1994 Candle Co 2026-02-03

I literally have a blend of this with the Honey Element FO and it is sooooo good. So strong I could smell it not just in our apartment, but downstairs in the entrance to our APARTMENT BUILDING! I left it burning while I went to check my mail. Came back inside after a few minutes and could literally smell it through 2 closed doors and all the way downstairs. I did a 50\50 blend but I will probably drop the honey element to 25% because it's definitely strong on the honey side. (But you could do it this way and you definitely still get the croissant notes, just not as much as i'd like!) Smells almost exactly like the honey butter croissants you get at Cheddars if you've ever been there!
