Blended Waxes Paraffin/Soy Wax (BW-910) combines the excellent fragrance throw of paraffin with the visual appeal and usability of soy. A great choice for container candles and tealights, BW-910 shines as single-pour wax with consistent color and strong burn performance in larger containers. The higher melt point helps candles ship in the summer without melting in transit.
The exact ratio of paraffin to soy is proprietary, but can share that this blend is more than 50% paraffin. This allows for smooth, glossy tops, vibrant dye coloration, and excellent cold and hot throw in the finished candle at a variety of fragrance loads.
Packaged in a soft slab form, this wax can easily be cut using a sharp knife or even a soap cutter like the Wavy Soap Cutter. No additives are necessary.
Candle Maker's Notes:
Every candle will produce smoke and soot while burning, and wax blends with paraffin tend to have darker soot. If you're seeing excess sooting, we recommend testing different wick sizes, or double wicking in larger containers (3.3"/8.4 cm diameter or larger). Additionally, reducing fragrance load can be beneficial - 6-8% will be plenty strong for most fragrances!
