Troubleshooting Tips

  • Frosting? Reduce the amount of fragrance to reduce the amount of frosting.
  • Sinking? A second pour is often needed, especially with larger pillars.
  • Melt pool struggles? You may need to wick up.
  • Wick Issues? We’ve found that CD and ECO wicks are more prone to curling with this wax. We recommend LX wicks. See our wick guide.
  • See our lab notes for additional tips and tricks.

Pleasantly surprised!
Connie C 2026-03-28

I was very hesitant about this wax due to the multiple warnings about frosting, but wanted to try it for making wax melts for the first time. Since this wax holds up to 25% fragrance oil, I started at 10% and was really pleased with the scent throw, but I felt it could be stronger. I am all about STRONG scent throws. So I went up to 20%, and man, the wax melts I made are incredibly fragrant! I can smell them through the clamshell packaging. I had never worked with an all-natural wax before because I was sort of against it, and had heard bad things, but this one has made me more open minded. I was worried about frosting (I really hate how that looks), but I haven’t seen any frosting in any of my wax cubes thus far (I’ve had several made and unused since February with 20%). I melted some of them down to see if they would create frosting as they resolidified, but they didn’t!! I also noticed that the hot throw is way stronger than my candles! I wish the 4630 in my candles created the same intense scent throws as this wax does. I’ve maxed out the 10% for the 4630 and no matter what percentage I tried between 6% and 10%, the scent throws in my candles never get as strong as the throws in this wax. When I think about it… it makes sense, lol, the FO amount is doubled in the CocoSol! Anyway, if you’re on the fence, don’t be. This wax is dope, and creates perfect melts! Thanks CandleScience 🫶🏼

This tart/pillar wax delivers. Excellent H/T at 12% load. Easy melt and sets beautifully.

I just keep coming back to this one...

I've tried just about every tart wax on the market. At one point, I was so fed up with the results I was getting from soy wax that I tried paraffin. But I have to say, this has been the best tart wax I've used in years. For a while now I've been making my own blend of 3 different waxes, but this has eliminated the need for that. It has excellent CT/HT and my customers are loving it. It's easy to work with, but slightly soft when using silicone tart molds. This is the ideal wax for people who use plastic tart packs. I make snap bars in silicone molds and occasionally one or two will snap when removing, but mostly it's flawless.

Love CocoSol

I've been using this wax for about a year now & find that it's perfect for clamshells & pillar candles. I actually prefer the finish & get smooth tops every time. I have also had a ton of success with simple pillar/taper candles, as long as there aren't any intricate designs on the silicone molds. It holds fragrance very well for me, I typically stay between the 12-16% range depending on the type of fragrance blend I'm using. After a good 2 cure, the cold throw & hot throw are both perfect! I just released clamshells made with this wax into my product line over the holidays & so far my customers have really loved them. This wax has become one of my favorites!!

Best wax for wax melts
Michelle Little 2025-09-28

I tried a few different percentages 13%, 17% and 20% I really like the 20% the scent was super strongs I am waiting on them to cure for 14 days to check the scent! So I will write another review then. But so far the wax is easy to work with for wax melts
