I love this wax!!! Question... How do you think it will work with wood wicks?

We're so glad to hear you're enjoying this wax so much! We do not carry wooden wicks so we haven't had the opportunity to test them with our new SimplySoy™ Artisan Wax but we're not aware of a reason they wouldn't work well together. If your wood wicks are compatible with 100% soy waxes, we'd encourage testing with your wood wick supplier's recommendation to start and then adjusting the wick size up or down based on your candle's burn test results. That should be a great place to begin testing!

I originally bought this wax when it first came out as granular and now that it is only pastilles I had to adjust how I used it . I follow CS' guidelines of adding FO @ 180-185 and pour at 155-160 and have had no problems. The tops are smooth . The CT is okay . I am curing my jars now and will test at 7 days for the HT. Both jars 11 oz with CD wicks 2.8 tops. FO Balsam and Lily of the Valley. The one thing I like about the wax is that it does melt quickly and is easy to work with. Will update when I do burn test for the HT. But I do like the wax.

Amazing CT, awful HT, help!

I have a similar experience to some other users here with this wax. I have used 6-10% loading of FO to test in 4oz tins, with CD8 wick. Nice flame size, no dancing, I do see mushrooming, melt pool ok, no tunneling… but can’t get any smell out of it when it’s burning. Unless I go really closer to the candle. Please help me fix this. Thank you !!

I was skeptical, but this is amazing!!

I was so hesitant to try this wax because the initial reviews were so poor. But it seems like the reviews have shifted over some time. So I decided to try a 1lb bag. Short answer: I LOVE this wax! I've been making candles for 5 years (I sell them, as well as make them for my home). One scent that I have tried relentlessly to get a strong HT from is Very Vanilla. I love vanilla scents, so I've been disappointed over the years that I haven't been able to get this scent to throw as well as all the other candles I've made. For reference, my candle recipe is: 464 soy (444 occasionally) with CD wicks and an 8% frag load. I bring my wax up 185, stir in my FO and pour immediately. I also typically cure for just a week, but have cured for the full two weeks (though I don't really find a big difference in throw between these cure times). Over the years, I have tested Very Vanilla dozens and dozens of times under various parameters (lower wax temps, different wicks, slightly higher frag load, etc, etc) and can get an decent HT each time. But for some reason, VV has never been as strong as all of the other candles I've made. I just chalked it up to it being a more subdued fragrance once it's in the wax (as some scents are just more subtle when tested in wax). Right out the gate, this Artisan Wax gave the BEST HT with VV that I've ever had! I'm sold! This is my new go-to wax. I'm so happy I gave it a try and I'm excited to order more!
