Beautiful Jars; Ugly Wick Testing

Let me just say these jars are gorgeous. They go perfectly with my brand colors and look fantastic! That being said...like many reviews for straight-sided jars, they are a pain to wick. I use soy (GB 464) and have seen a lot of people having issues and suggesting CD 20 or CD 22. I think CD 20 works great for some fragrances and not for others. I've had the best success with lowering my fragrance load a touch and using either CD 18 or CD 20 depending on the oil. Sometimes the CD 18 actually burns hotter and creates a ton of mushrooming when CD 20s don't and vice versa. Important to remember that candle burning is a whole process and it's not just the jars and the wick -- several factors go into a good burn (oil, fragrance load, wick, wax, jar, etc.).

Beach Candles

I love these for my ocean, beach and other summer sea scents.
The color is amazing and I love pairing it with the copper colored lids.

Love these! So cute and colorful!

I am loving these colored tumbler jars. They are lightweight but very cute and classy.

For having wicking issues, I use a CD20 with soy 464 on all my tumblers this size.

Beautiful jars!

These jars are absolutely beautiful and have added elegance to my candle line! One arrived broken but I understand shipping isn’t always perfect.

The con though…wicking these are a pain! I use 6006 and per Candle Science, I needed an eco 8. Tested it and it was the worst tunneling and melt pool I’ve seen to date. Currently trying a eco 14, the hot throw is awesome but it’s still not reaching a full melt pool. I will have to try an eco 16 or try double wicking it.

I’m glad I test my candles but I do wish the wick recommendation was better.
