We experienced a moderate amount of acceleration and a slight amount of separation initially. We found it difficult to bring the water and oils to an emulsion, each time we stopped the stick blender we could see the oils and water separate. Eventually they came together and held which brought the batter to a medium trace. The batter stayed workable enough to pour smoothly into the mold without any additional thickening. After 24 hours, we observed the soap had only reached a partial gel and there was a slight yellow discoloration. The scent was strong and had a crisp freshness. After 30 days, a very light yellow discoloration was observed, which could be easily covered by titanium dioxide or other colorants. The scent had mellowed but remained strong and crisp. It would be ideal to incorporate the color in the batter first, then add fragrance last.
