Love this scent
This is a HUGE hit for my everyday customers, but surprisingly it’s a big hit in the luxe line as well. I sell this scent 2-1 over everything. I was using another supplier, but CS has the better scent.

We did not experience any acceleration or separation. The batter was slow to come to trace and remained very workable. After 24 hours, the bars discolored to a light tan shade and the scent was very strong and spicy. We observed that the soap reached a partial gel with no insulation. After 30 days the soap discolored to a dark tan shade. The scent was still strong but had faded a bit and was not as spicy. The final bars smell much more like a true dragon's blood resin. This fragrance would be ideal to use the discoloration to your advantage and do a nice black soap or save some of the batter before adding fragrance and create a black soap with multi-colored swirls.

This smells exactly like the Dragon's Blood resin I've gotten at the local incense shop, so I have to give it a good thumbs up. The orange/incense resin scent is lovely. Very happy with this one.
I was not familiar with dragon's blood so I got this as a free sample at first. First impression I thought it was different for sure. After using that sample though, the smell grew on me and I started to really like it! It wasn't until I sold out of it in my store that I found out it was an insence fragrance! Looking back at the people who bought it, it is definitely for the crowd that you can imagine. Its a best seller!
Dragons Blood is my favorite incense and this was spot on! I used 6% in 6006 wax and it had amazing cold and hot throw. Filled the room within an hour of burning.
It’s not for me! I would name this scent Hippie. It is very strong! One of the strongest scents there is. But I find it very off putting. Smells like a strong version of the store in the mall that sells incense, trippy posters and tapestries.
The name of this fragrance always threw me off, I just assumed it would be super Smokey and never looked into it. I finally clicked on it after over a year and read the fragrance notes and to my surprise this is one of my favorites! It’s not overly Smokey (which I assumed from the name and picture, I like to add my own smoke to control it) my customers are loving this. You also have so many options on blends with this one.
I LOVE this scent and my customers love it as well. It has such a mature, sexy, and exotic vibe to it. My candles are all about unique scents and this candle does it for me. Its one of my most popular masculine scents. Its called Black Smoke on my site www.kandlewerx.com
I use this scent for my Psalms candles and they are a huge hit. Everyone who experiences these candles cant get enough. This scent is mysterious and wonderful.
When I received the package the bottles were in a very large bag allowing the bottles to jumble around and one of the bottles ended up opening. The scent was on point but I really wish the packaging was more quality minded.
Thank you for letting us help you with this!
It's a pretty accurate scent if you are familiar with Dragon Blood incense. I used it to make layered holiday candles. I will say that an ounce and a half per pound might be a bit much, as it throws and throws harshly by itself. I used it in conjunction with CS' Black Currant Jasmine to soften and lift the scent. It's very wintery and invokes a smokey warmth of intimate huddles at the hearth. Definitely buy an incense stick from 5Below if you are inexperience with this scent. It is not very common and true to CS, it is very strong.
I'm not sure why this scent is so divisive, but it has a very strong sandalwood-like incense smell which I personally like. If that's what you're looking for, give this one a try!
I don’t normally write reviews for fragrance oils but I thought I’d share my experience with this one because it’s been... different. Out of the bottle it’s pretty awful, like baby powder? Customers sniffing the unlit candle have said “different” “baby powder” “perfumey” but when it’s burning MOST people seem to like the smell and it definitely fills my tiny store. I had 8 of 8 types of candles in stock and sold out of every one, except this one. Didn’t even sell one! So do with that what you will. It’s not a terrible oil but definitely not one I will be purchasing again. Gonna scour these reviews and see if anyone recommends mixing it with another oil to make it a little more tolerable.
OK so if you read the reviews obviously people either LOVE or HATE this fragrance. Read the reviews and if you don't know what it smells like (incense) then try a sample size first so you won't have to throw out a huge bottle. Remember, some of your best sellers may not be a personal favorite. It's a big seller for us! There is a niche of our customers (not just hippies, but a ton of millennials too) who love this fragrance. It has great staying power in soy and cold process soap. It does discolor to tan in CP soap; we use a brick red pigment, activated charcoal, and white mica/titanium dioxide for a great swirl! BTW, Dragon Blood is an actual tree - check it out!
It smells a bit like cough syrup out of the bottle, and it doesn't get much better in a candle. I think it's just such a powerful scent that's the primary issue, but all in all, not horrible. Just a bit weird.
The Best! most popular on my website!
Great spiced orange fragrance. Comparable to the Christmas Hearth but soap friendly.
Have used in Candles, Lotions, MP and CP soaps along with other liquid soaps like hand and body wash.
I have tried other dragon's blood fragrances but this one is the winner. This is PERFECT in parasoy wax melts and GB464 candles. It starts with strong hot & cold throw and it stays strong, so you won't waste any money with this one. In soap, the scent is slightly different but still obvious. Because my candles & tarts never discolor, the first time I made soap I forgot about the discoloration so I wound up with honey & brick red instead of bright yellow and bright red. No biggie -- just renamed it and stuffed it in a dark indigo base. This one is one of my best sellers all year long.
So I bought this fragrance oil a few months ago, thinking it will have a pleasant fragrance. When it came in, it smelled like someone just ground up pachouli and threw it in the bottle. I tried blending it with other oils, but it is just so over powering, that i literally have it in my garage because it stunk up my entire house. I tried giving it a whirl but everyone i gave to smell, gave the stank face. And asked if i planned on going to a Grateful Dead concert.
I haven't yet had a customer who wasn't drawn to this scent. I use this at 10% in a proprietary parasoy blend and it has a strong hot and cold throw. Spicy without being pungent, not smoky but evocative of the smoke of incense sticks, exotic without being sweet. So good that I'm afraid to try Dragon's Blood fragrance oil from anywhere else because I feel like they couldn't compete with this one.
Incense is one scent I truly love, and this one did not disappoint. It smells amazing, and my number one thing with candles is being able to smell them in the room while burning and you can definitely smell this when its burning. Highly recommend!
I had high hopes for this scent, but something about it is offputting. It’s almost migraine inducing during the candle making process. My husband said it smelled like a fake Christmas tree. Not sure about that. We will see how it sells at the street fair. If it doesn’t fly off the shelves I won’t make it again, not worth the headache....literally.
Smells good alone reminds me of a smoke or vape shop scent. Mixed Dragons Blood with CS Hemp to create a “cannibas” scent. Has Very strong HT in candles.
I don’t know what to think of this scent. It does not smell bad just smells different from anything I’ve ever smelled before. I made sugar scrub soaps with it and added the hemp scent. It came out really nice. My 21 year old hippie daughter loves it. I also was told to mix it with bergamot EO by another reviewer so I’m going to try that next.
This is Dragon's Blood incense resin exactly. That resinous, orange-scented incense you can often find at head shops and novelty stores. Perfect! I don't do cold process soap or candles, so I can only report this as excellent as perfume oil or in melt and pour soaps, lotions.
Not a fan and candles were hard to sell. I would not recommend or purchase again
Very nice for masculine scent! My husband favorite.
I am not fond of it on it's own. After adding Bergamot essential oil, I like it so much more!
I love this scent, I have tried other companies FO and this Dragons Blood is by far the best smelling and is perfect for my melt and pour soap. It has a spicy smell and I Love It!
I am not an incense type of gal but this.. may have just changed my mind.
I bought this upon a few requests and sold out of the whole batch in one day!
Its not overpowering and actually while its a strong scent is soft in the sense that it does not overpower you like burning an incense stick does.
Very impressed with this one.
I adore this fragrance! I am so happy it's also free of Prop 65 warnings. (Can't wait til you reformulate your Nag Champa!!!!!) It smells so good....it's exactly like walking into a new age book store full of incense. Mmmmm.
Just like the original version of Gardenia (which I loved), this newer version of Dragon's Blood misses the mark. Sorry, but it does not smell anything like the original version of Dragon's Blood we all knew and loved. I miss Gardenia, and now DB too.
Smells like incense.
I'm so in love with this fragrance and my family loves it too! I made a few wax melts to test it out and instantly knew these would become a staple for my candle line. It behaved well in my coconut wax and I may even try it in my body care items. It's strong but I didn't find it overpowering. I'm a big incense fan so that may have contributed to why I fell in love so quickly.
I don’t like the smell at all, but if you like the smell of incense you’ll probably like this scent
This is my personal favorite scent! My customers love it. It is usually a hit or miss with people. I will buying more!
I've always loved soap made with dragon's blood and now I love this for candles. Made in a 4-oz jelly jar, apricot-coconut wax with a wood wick. Fantastic throw. WIll definitely be buying more of this.
I bought this scent randomly to try as a first time go at soy candle making. It threw really well with golden 444. Scent was overpowering when making, but dissipated once solid. As for burning - its fantastic. It has a sweet, powdery smell, with a deep musky undertone that is killer. 10/10 would recommend. I’ll definitely keep this in my rotation.
OMG love this scent. Completely new to the candle making experience Being newly visually impaired I’ve found I’m in love with trying and learning the scent laser and all the subtle notes. Dragons blood is a top notch scent. So many scents can’t wait to try them ALL
I cannot get over how sexy and spicy Dragon’s Blood is! I'm in love! Thank you for such an incredible oil!
