Soy Candle Making Email Course Part 2: Video Directions

Helpful Candle Making Tips:

  • It’s crucial for the wax to reach 185°F when adding fragrance.  Many fragrance oils will not mix properly into the wax until it's hot enough.
  • Be sure to add only 1oz. of fragrance! Adding more than recommended will cause the candle to burn poorly and won’t improve the hot throw.
  • We know it takes a long time for the wax to cool, but patience produces pretty candles. Pouring too hot can cause the candles to shrink and pull away from the sides.
  • For improved scent throw, allow your candles to “cure” for several days. We know it’s hard to wait, but patience really pays off.
