We did not experience any acceleration or separation. The batter was slow to come to trace and very easy to work with. After 24 hours, we could see the soap had reached a partial gel, just through the very center. We observed an unusual discoloration pattern; the outer edges of the soap had turned a dark mustard yellow while the inner area turned a gold color. The scent was quite strong and more of the woody notes came through. After 30 days, the soap had discolored to a light brown shade and the scent became much more balanced although it was not quite as strong. The discoloration would make this a great fragrance to experiment with a wood grain pattern by using various amounts of titanium dioxide.

Wow
Chelsea 2025-09-03

I’ve had just about every fragrance from candle science. They’ve all got their own good notes…. However, there is a handful that truly “gets” me. Black Sea, Almond Macaron, White Orris Sandalwood, Cherry Eclipse, (although many come close, Baltic Dew is another that’s close and Arctic Ivy), when I sniffed this one, I just sat and sniffed it for like 5 minutes straight with my eyes closed. I’m very picky. This just smells like… Autumn comfort… Like going into someone’s house from your childhood while leaves are falling and their house is like really clean and cozy.
Funny thing, I did some strip dips today with about 30 scents. Then when I was done I thought it would be fun to sniff every one of them and find which is this scent. As soon as I picked this splotch up I sat for another 5 minutes (and as I write this) lol smelling it. It’s not super strong, I’m going to make some HP soaps and candles & more with it tomorrow.

It just smells really really pleasant.

I'll be honest, first impression OOB was weak sauce, but once it's in wax, holyyyyy wow. I have used it on its own as well as a mixer (with all kinds of stuff) in cocosoy and it adds something I have hard time describing. It's deep and complex, warm and comforting, yet mysterious. A scent that keeps you coming back for more. Big recommend on this one, please never discontinue this FO!
