Fresh and modern, Foraged Red Currant fragrance oil is a vibrant choice all year long, but particularly stands out in the cooler months. The tart brightness of red currant, peppercorn, and green leaf top notes creates a nature-inspired first impression. The heart of juicy blueberry, blackberry, and grass balances elegantly with a refined combination of moss, cedarwood, and amber in the base.

Foraged Red Currant is a berry fragrance with complex green and woody facets that avoids cloying sweetness. It performs outstandingly in candles, melts, and room sprays—and creates sophisticated soaps, lotions, and scrubs.

This fragrance is infused with natural essential oils including eucalyptus, cinnamon, nutmeg, balsam, pine, and clove leaf.

Blends well with: Moonflower Nectar, Sugar Pine and Patchouli, Arctic Ivy

Alternative branding ideas: Wildberry Thicket, Fall Forage, Currant Hedgerow

Suggested colors: Maroon, Dark Green, Scarlet Red

Must try

I was able to stop in to the CS showroom with my daughter while I was visiting her and my granddaughter in Durham a couple weeks ago. So glad I did! The new fragrances were on display. We were both drawn to foraged red currant. We couldn’t stop smelling it. Since returning home, I’ve poured it by itself and blended with a fresh earthy fragrance and oh my word. It’s so so nice. I’ll be buying more for sure!

"Green" Holiday Berry
Jessica 2025-06-29

This is such a fantastic scent. The green notes are so wonderful. The red berry is present, but not overwhelming or too sweet. It feels like a forest walk, where you are foraging for wild berries. So fantastic naming/branding. Rhe scent is really wonderful. I'll happily burn this candle outside of winter months.

Not a fan

I love the smell of red currant and was excited for this one. However it is my least favorite scent of the new Fall fragrance oils. It smells like some kind of food I’ve had before but I can’t place it. It’s a sharp and savory type scent and not one you’d want to put in a candle.

Red Currant delight not
Nightlight 2025-06-30

I love red currant and possibly if this was blended with galbunam it might sing. I would never use.
Red Currant itself is fabulous and tart. This was not a good blend. Candle Science has a mixed bag of hits and misses.
This one is a pass
