I absolutely love this scent! Works great with soy wax.
I have been using this FO for quite some time now, but only because of the smell. My customers LOVE it!
..but, the actual production of mixing this FO in 464 soy wax is awful and annoying. The tops never come out smooth and the candles turn yellow after some time. I am going to have to switch to a different oil.. its a shame though.
I absolutely love this smell in my cold process soap. However, my batch seized up on me really fast. Be careful when using this scent and be prepared to work fast. I will probably buy again, but will have to adapt my process to deal with the acceleration.
This scent has very little lavender, and smells more like a cheap semi-floral perfume to me, I am not sure how to describe it completely..it almost smells like baby powder mixed with old perfume. It is my least favorite scent I've tried. The pure lavender scent was much better, I'll stick with that next time. Now I need to find someone who likes the smell of these candles to try to give them away to.
This is a very pleasant scent, but it reminds me more of a classic soap scent than a chamomile tea/lavender scent. Still wound up smelling appropriate in my great-great-grandmother's teacups that I made into candles!
I used this FO in CP soap and it looked to be working beautifully until I went to pour it into the mold. It started to separate almost immediately. The scent is wonderful but I recommend using it in everything except CP soap!
I've been using this scent for a while now, and it has always come out just too powdery and soapy! It is easily remedied with an additional lavender essential oil, then it is perfect. My last complaint is how my tops come out-- never good. I may have to switch carriers for this scent
I like it, but I think I might mix it with some additional lavender. It’s a bit powdery and I wish the lavender was a little more detectable.
This scent smells great and this was the first candles I made. Turned out great, my son says they smell like Johnson and Johnson baby. I don't care I made perfect candles the first go around!
I did a half and half blend of this lavender and chamomile fragrance oil and a baby’s breath fragrance oil in cp soap and I LOVE the end result. My aunt is very much a lavender lover so when she smelled the soap I made she claimed the whole loaf as hers. Such a relaxing scent! Doesn’t smell like baby powder to me in the slightest. I plan on buying a bigger bottle I love it so much.
In spite of the reviews saying that this scent smelled more like baby powder/soap than like lavender chamomile, I wanted to give it a shot, because the combination of lavender and chamomile fragrance was too tantalizing to pass up. But my first batch of 464 soy wax candles (fragrance poured in at about 150-160 F degrees and poured into 8 oz and 4 oz tin at 140 F degree) resulted in a definite baby powder/soapy scent. I don't think anyone smelling these candles would think it's lavender & chamomile. I'm really hoping CandleScience comes up with a lavender scent that does not smell soapy. Also, a previous reviewer mentioned that the tops do not come out smooth for this fragrance, and I found that to be the case as well.
This is my all time favorite fragrance. I absolutely love it. I have used it in Candles, M&P Soap, Body Lotion and roll on Perfume. Never fails, though I did have to do a lot of testing to get the perfect candle. My next project is making CP Soap. Thanks Amanda at Candlescience for suggesting this wonderful F.O. to me.
Someone else referred to this scent as a commercial bathroom deodorizing scent and I agree. It basically smells like baby powder.
I adore this scent but it is a bit hard to work with. It accelerates trace quite a lot. I would drop it except it is a great seller. Just hate having to fight with it
a great cold throw, solid hot throw but only after about 2 weeks of curing in 464.
Love, love this scent and performs well in soy wax.
Anyine else having trouble with this scent? The tops never turn out smooth. I love this scent and so do my customers but i may have to find a different Lavender scent.
I'd have to say this is quite the scent! Smells like J&J Nighttime baby lotion. Very calming smell. Not to strong when burning but enough to where you can smell it. Its a love it or hate it type of fragrance.
I was expecting a scent reminiscent of lavender chamomile herbal tea. I mixed this fragrance oil at a 10% ratio in CB Advanced soy wax when the wax temp. was 185*F. Then let cool to 135*F and hand-poured into 4oz. tins with ECO4 pre-tabbed wicks, and cured for at least 24-hours before lighting. Cold throw is nice, but a bit soapy. Hot throw smells very soapy, which isn't exactly a bad thing, I'm just not getting the "true" lavender and chamomile fragrances I was hoping for. Three stars for me, as it was room-filling and wasn't necessarily a bad smell, just not very true to the name.
This FO has a great cold and hot scent throw. The scent fills my whole bedroom! I love it! The only negative I have is that is turned yellow after a few weeks of using it. I know this is common among some FO's. Not a big deal to me.
Has a clean smell just like the commercial bathroom air freshener at work.
This was an early favorite and is a delicate, soft scent. Favored by a lot of people and very true to a relaxing Lavender Chamomile blend.
I purchased this FO for a client who requested a lavender scented candle. Instead of going with a simple lavender, I opted for this fragrance as I had been wanting to try it for my spring collection. I must say, this FO has excellent cold and hot throw in GW 464. Not only do I love it and think it smells amazing, my client is extremely happy with her candle as well. I have had great feedback from others and will definitely incorporate this scent in my spring collection. Thank you, Candle Science!
I received this fragrance as a sample and sampled it to make a candle, and wow I was surprised! What a soft and strong through! Will be ordering more for Valentine Day and Spring candles.
I don't like to leave negative reviews, but I have to throw this out there. I have a successful candle business and have made thousands of candles, and this oil gives me nothing but problems. I LOVE all CS products and oils, but this one I have to remove from my lineup. The oil seeps 50% of the time. I have done way too much experimentation to try to get it right all the time, but it doesn't matter if I change the temps or the amount (I thought I was putting too much in, but that wasn't the case), it still seeps a lot of the time. I hate to have to discontinue it because it's a best-seller for me, and I guess the customers love the fragrance, but it's causing too much $ loss. This doesn't deter me from CS at all and like I said, this is the only oil I consistently have issues with.
This does not smell like chamomile or lavender in the true sense. I love both of those herbs and expected something a bit truer to their original scent. This smelled powdery to me, like something in a baby wash or baby powder product. I did not try it in a candle as I didn't like it enough to go for it. I can't say what the result scent would be but I can't imagine it to develop into something that smells like chamomile or lavender. It's not bad, it's just not what I wanted or expected.
Not sure what to think about this one. While burning, It didn't really smell like lavender or chamomile to me but it did have a pleasant, subtle overall smell. I expected this scent to have some stronger lavender notes in there somewhere honestly. This scent however is good for a spa candle line and would be nice while burning in a small massage/treatment room. Used in GB 464 with a 6 percent load in a 10 ounce candle.
I've use this fragrance in Soy 464, it smells great, even when it is not lit. Adding it to my Aromatherapy line.
Like the previous reviewer said, this does have a bit of a soap smell, especially out of the bottle, but once it's in candle form it's amazing!
I bought this based on previous reviews. I was hoping it would be similar to Bed Bath and Bodywork's Lavender Chamomile from there aromatherapy line which has been discontinued. I don't smell much lavender in here at all. I was expecting a warm soothing type fragrance and this one is very sharp, too sharp to be soothing. I happened to sample Egyptian Amber in the same order. The Egyptian Amber is much more to my liking, but lacks a strong lavender note I was looking for in the Lavender Chamomile.
I am not a big fan of the regular Lavender smell but this frangrance is soo much more. Always the first to sell out at craft shows.
STUNNING fragrance. Wish it was bath and body safe. Would fly off the shelves if it was.
I do not like lavender, but - omg - this combination is truly outstanding. Perfect as a Spa scent. Going to buy a big bottle.
Thank you, Candlescience; your FOs rock!
I can definately smell the lavender and chamomile. Even oob, it is wonderful. I had to back off the amount i used in my soy candles. Othewise, it is too soapy smelling.
