This seemed okay. Doesn't smell like real red velvet cake to me, but not horrible. Performed okay in GB 464.
I received this as my free scent and I'm glad I didn't pay for it. I love the food scents but this one is very artificial smelling.
This scent smells amazing out of the bottle (just like red velvet cake) but I poured 2 batches using Eco Soy Advanced wax and the candles have absolutely no cold throw and little hot throw as well. I always add a bit of coconut oil to assist in scent throws and that did not even help. I don't know if it is the wax or the scent but I would not order any more of this due to knowing my customers will not be satisfied with such little fragrance. I'll stick with Candle Sciences Hot fudge, now that chocolate scent rocks! For the most part, Candle Science has the best fragrances I have found in the industry.
I have sampled a lot of the offerings here on Candle Science, and I have to say this is my favorite. It smells just like red velvet cake - that hint of chocolate, but mostly the cream cheese frosting. As with Blueberry Cobbler, the scent out of the bottle is heavenly, but once it starts to burn, it doesn't hold together for very long. (I'm talking about in an oil burner, here.) It breaks down to something really sweet and sugary, which is still nice.
Amazing scent! Just poured my first batch of candles with this scent last night, and I can hardly wait for it to cure. My daughter ran downstairs thinking I was baking a cake!
