Blue Liquid Dye for candle wax produces a color ranging from a light to dark blue depending on usage. Your actual experience may vary depending on what type of wax you use and the amount of dye used. We encourage you to experiment.

In soy, deep, rich colors are challenging and standard dye amounts create a washed-out, pastel color. They require 2-3 times the dye that paraffin requires, sometimes more.

  • A 1 oz bottle can color up to 100 lb of soy wax or 200 lb paraffin to a medium shade.
  • A 4 oz bottle can color up to 400 lbs of soy wax or 800 lbs to a medium shade.

Fragrance Oil Recommendations: Lush Linen, Blueberry Cheesecake, Blueberry Cobbler, Ocean Breeze

Note: Due to the extreme concentration of our liquid dyes there is a noticeable odor that will not be detectable at normal usages in finished candles.

Worse bottles on the planet

I always use CS dye but for goodness sake can something be done about the bottles? more specifically the droppers. You will get dye all over your hands I don't even know where it comes out of but after the first time you open it will just leak out through the top. Please CS stop being cheap or whatever it is that you're doing and test the dye droppers. It's not just one bottle but all of them. I feel so strongly about this as it's a huge inconvenience and not a professional level that I'm giving you one star. Yes, the dyes are good and strong and will color your candles but it will also color hands and everything else that it gets on your work space.

Liquid Candle Dye

First off, these dyes are amazing! I use Paraffin Wax so a little goes a long way! Literally only a couple drops for a deep color! I will say that the black dye does stick very bad BUT in my finished product all you can smell is the wonderful fragrance! I only purchase from Candle Science and can’t wait to see what other Fragrance Oils they come up with! The more, the better! Too bad I can’t add a picture of my lovely candles!

great dyes

The only company I buy my liquid dyes from. Some don't realize that in soy type of wax you will need to add more to get a true color. In paraffin you use less. These are great true color dyes.

Love These Liquid Dyes

The only complaint I could have about these liquid dyes is that they can become quite messy, but that's just the nature of the product, nothing to do with Candlescience. All of the colors I've tried are wonderful! Some colors go a lot further than others, but this blue one is incredibly potent. It's nice, also, because any of the colors can be mixed with black or brown for shade variations. Very flexible!

Beautiful Blue

I used this in Soy 464 GB and got a lovely denim blue shade using 6 drops per pound.

only dyes I use

I've used these liquid dyes for many, many years, the only ones I will buy. Perfect in parasoy and paraffin applications. Use way less in paraffin with perfect results.

Blue Dye

I love this blue dye! I don't think the smell is that bad at all, unless you hold it up to your nose and smell it right out of the jar, and you can't smell it AT ALL in the finished product. This is a wonderfully vibrant blue, when used in soy wax, and I like how easily I can blend it with other colors. It combines nicely with brown dye for a richer, navy blue, and I can darken it up easily with a few drops of black. No complaints here!

I would give CandleScience liquid NO stars if that was an option. Extremely disappointed in the liquid dye (tried red, blue and yellow). VERY noxious smell, gave several people headaches. Smell only slightly improved in finished product.
Wasted 2 pounds wax, fragrance, glass candle jars - CandleScience states this is not defective. Smells like mothballs - very, very unpleasant smell.
