We did not experience any acceleration or separation. The oils and water were slow to reach a light trace. We continued stick blending until we reached a medium trace. The batter poured smoothly into the mold. However, we did find the last few bits started to thicken slightly. After 24 hours, the soap was too soft to unmold. We allowed it to sit for an additional 3 days. The soap was still soft and we found a few areas tore while removing it from the mold. We observed that only a golf ball sized area in the center reached gel phase. The bars discolored to a light yellow and the scent was very strong. After 30 days, the scent was pleasantly strong and the bars remained a light yellow.

Surprising!!! Before you judge, test it.

I was excited about this scent and when it arrived I was let down. Out of the bottle all I could smell was DIRT. All though I know fragrances shouldn't be judged OOB, I put it to the side in hopes to destash. My sister asked me to make her some wax melts and knowing that she's a very earthy, free spirited person I went for the Chamomile Tea. To my surprise I was pleasantly pleased. This scent is beautiful. The earthiness mellows out and the sweet, herbaceous aroma of chamomile shows up. I'll actually use this one for my home. Don't knock it until you try it.

Not A Fan

I am so confused on this fragrance. OOB had promise & the first burn smelled like fresh air and flowers. But the second burn it didn't smell that great at all. Chamomile has a very unique scent to begin with and I think CS did a great job of trying to pin down the scent to replicate it. I just can't get behind this one. However, everyone has a different sense of smell, so I'm going to test this with my audience and see how they like it.

It's okay

I'm not the biggest fan of this scent on its own. It doesn't smell exactly like chamomile which is where my disappointment comes in. However, I have tried a few blends with this scent and it smells good blended with floral scents.

Incredible!

My goodness, this FO smells just like chamomile, picked off the plant. It’s earthy, slightly sweet, herbal, it might be my favorite! Hot throw is surprisingly strong in soy wax. This is a winner on the herbal, aromatherapy front.

Smells just like chamomile tea!

I was hesitant to get this from all the reviews, but it’s best to be your own judge. Smells exactly like chamomile tea.

This is a strong, incredibly earthy, herbal fragrance. I can understand why some people may find the fragrance surprising and not initially like it. However, I plan to mix this fragrance with different variations of lavender which I think will enhance the herbal tones and slightly tone down the pungent earthiness of the chamomile tea FO. This is a good example of a FO that may not be the standalone FO in a candle or soap, like many other FOs (whiskey, for example, absolutely needs to be paired with another FO but I still always keep some stocked!). It's a fragrance I will continue to buy to blend.

not my cup of tea

I had a chance to test this in a 464 soy candle and it's definitely not terrible! I get the tea note, but to me it smells like black tea without sweetness or creaminess. It has a very food-like umami note. I actually think it would be a great blender, especially in the chai scents, which I feel could amp up the tea note. It's worth experimenting with, but on its own it's not a scent I would seek out.

Not great

Not a great scent at all. It doesn't smell anything like chamomile tea in 464 soy.

Smells Like Dirt

Not the best fragrance available. Glad I only got the tester bottle while it was on sale. Maybe it'll smell better in a product, but ootb it's an awful smell that I would not recommend to anyone. I'm almost afraid to put it in wax for losing money on it.

Surprising!

Okay. I’m the first person to judge a fragrance out of the bottle. I’m also the first person to NOT purchase a fragrance due to reviews like the ones on this fragrance. But I took a chance anyways. Yes it stinks out of the bottle. But I promise promise promise, once it’s in the soap it smells EXACTLY like a steaming cup of chamomile tea. And I would know because I am a tea enthusiast; I even used to write for a newsletter all about tea, tasting and testing the teas we were sent and writing reviews about them! So if anyone knows chamomile tea, it’s me!

As for soap performance, it accelerates. My recipe is very fluid and I am very light-handed with my stick blender. I actually video taped myself making soap with this scent. You can view the video on this fragrance’s behavior on my Instagram.
