This FO should be titled 'raw coconut'. This is very true to the actual fruit. There is no sweetness in this scent. If you are looking or a beach, suntan lotion, sweet coconut/pineapple scent, this isn't what you want. I didn't enjoy it in a candle so I used it in my shampoo bars and it still doesn't satisfy me. I'm looking for a sweeter scent. Great scent if you are looking for more of a 'coconut in the raw' experience!

Purchased Coconut scent and very disappointed. Smells great at first but can hardly smell the candle now.
I loved, real coconut!
OKAY, I am a HUGE fan of coconut anything BUT be prepared because this oil has a hint of Pineapple. Its probably good for some people but I just wish Candle Science made a creamier coconut. The pineapple just makes it smell more like a pina colada. :/
OOB the coconut fragrance reminds me of suntan lotion. I was OK with that because it goes with the tropical vibe. The fragrance behaved fine in CP soap EXCEPT the scent has morphed into something that is neither coconut or suntan lotion or enjoyable.
I used at 6 % and soaped at 90 to 95 degrees.
I was really looking forward to making candles with this scent and purchased a larger bottle thinking it would be perfect for summer candles, but, the scent is really faint and when mixed into the wax does not smell like coconut. Very disappointed.
This fragrance is something else. It smells like true coconut !! I try nature gardens one and its does not smells that good like this candlescience one has! Ive order coconut several times from here.
I used this to make soy candle melts, it doesn't have much of a cold throw but once made... put melts in a storage bag and set it in frig or somewhere cool or cold and let sit for 3 or 4 days and the throw will be stronger.
During the candle making process you smell the coconut scent. After it's cooled the first couple hours the cold throw is not present but let it cure a bit longer the coconut scent is there. It's good
I made 8 oz. tin candles with this scent with the 464 wax heat to 185 poured at 135. The coconut scent was there at first but as the candle cooled the scent was gone no cold throw. I'm going to let the candles cool a bit more and test light to see if there's a hot throw but so far not my best.
This is definitely a true coconut scent. It’s not overly sweet, a little soapy, but that’s what I like about it. I’m still waiting for it to cure fully to see how stront the hot throw is after a couple weeks. This was a free sample and I’m glad I got it!
I love this fragance but I bought it to use it on a cold process soap, I used at 4% but doesn´t smell at all, then I add at 6% and same no smell. Thanks.
great throw in parasoy after 5 day cure. no bakery notes, just plain coconut
This was a special order, but I'm worried the client won't like it as it's just not a strong scent. In cold process soap, behaved perfectly and I approve of the final scent, just not strong enough. If you like light scents, I would definitely rate a five.
This smells just like cracking open a ripe coconut! But, cold and hot, it is weak. Sadly after using a full load of 2 oz. to 1 pound GB 464, the aroma is very faint and weak. Wish it was a bit stronger.
This is a lovely and (to my nose) clean, true coconut smell, it is a very good FO. And the description for soy performance is accurate, the throw is not very strong and therefore is probably not something I would repurchase, but if you liked a subtle candle this would be the ticket.
A little bit of this scent goes a long way!
Smells really good but it's not very strong. I used 464 GB soy wax and unless I make a very large candle with it you can't smell it very easily.
Behaved perfectly for cold process soap. Smells like coconut and Shea butter. Very lovely and delicate.
I've used this for scent for years and it's by far my favorite coconut scent of all time. I have tried them all and I always come back to this one.
This performed okay in GB 464 but it's not a true coconut smell. It's got a sweetness to it. It's not bad, but if you're looking for a real coconut smell, this isn't it.
I got a request for a coconut candle. It does smell like coconut but has an overwhelmingly waxy scent that makes me not want to burn it. So I can't say if the hot throw is better. The person who asked for the candle also found the it to be gross. I didn't do anything different while making this batch of candles. Hopefully others have better luck.
This is certainly an artificial scent if I've ever smelled one. Smells nothing like the descriptuon and certainly nothing like coconuts-I make coconut oil and use it everyday as part of my skincare routine.
The scent isn't horrible, but it definitely isn't great either. I'm disappointed that I'm now stuck with 16oz of something I'll never use.
This is my absolute favorite scent! I love the way it smells in my candles and body products!!!
This is THE best coconut I've found! I used it in soap and it is amazing! Don't change a thing about this one!
It has some scent out of the bottle, but after mixing into my GB 464 wax at 185 degrees there was absolutely no scent throw. I was worried I had just wasted 1lb of wax (since I don't add more than 1oz of oil per lb) so I got the idea to shred up some dried mint leaves from my garden. I now have minty coconut candles cooling. At least I saved my 1lb of wax and I'm glad I only tried this one as a sample. Not worth buying.
This coconut scent is light and airy and not as strong as coconut lovers would like, me included. But it is a true coconut scent, which is hard to find. It is also a great mixer, as it doesn't overpower, just sits quietly by with a cocked eyebrow and a superior attitude. Coconut knows how good it smells; it doesn't need to come on strong to show its presence.
CP Soap: Behaves well, no acceleration. Discolors to a dark tan.
Soy Wax: Good cold and hot throw
Scent: Awesome for those who like coconut.
This scent using ecosoya advanced had excellent throw and was able to scent up a room.
I am a big fan of coconut and I have tried so many from other companies and this one by far is the best. It is pretty strong for a coconut, but not the strongest I have ever smelled, but it is the only one that smells like REAL coconut.
This is a great coconut fragrance...the only thing i would change would be the strength of the cold throw...other than that, my customers love it and it sells...they say it smells like pina coloda! works well in my coconut shell candles!
I always have a bummer experiance when it comes to just the right coconut smell, well this one takes it to the top FINALLY this is true coconut, when you inhale its nice, but when you exhale its even better!ill see if i can sum it up better, have you ever cooked with coconut sreads, and just eat some right on the spot, well this is that... pure YUMMY 5 stars
