Ohhh my! Candle Science’s Coconut Lime Verbena is layered in subtle complexity. My initial thoughts were “I don’t smell any coconut or lime.” and “what in the world is a verbena?” (Thanks Google!). After carefully taking in this scent and reassessing her notes, I noticed a balanced marriage between coconut and lime fragrances. At times I can pick up hints of bamboo, a green wood, or a clean green leafy aroma. What really makes this scent standout is how the citrus smell isn’t sharp or overpowering; it doesn’t drown out the coconut fragrance. The combination transforms the two into a heavenly harmonious aroma. I admit, I only read of about verbena, so I have no idea how this floral scent influences the others.
It makes me want to relax in a nice warm bath or have an evening mojito (or mint julep) while having my neck and shoulders massaged. I got a wonderful CT in soy wax. At around 7% the HT is rich, but not heavy or overwhelming. In my opinion this would make an excellent spa fragrance, but it’s a lovely fragrance if only used to spruce up your home after day of housecleaning and tending to the children. I can truly appreciate this offering from Candle Science. Well done folks. Well done!!
