Frankincense and Myrrh (Discontinued Version) 04/11/20

Great! I diffused this fragrance in my home. It's a very light and soothing scent. Not overly musky or strong at all. Although I love musky scents. They're so natural and beautiful because they smell like your home just smells like that naturally. Candle Science's Frankincense and Myrrh reminds me of original Skin So Soft by Avon, if you know what that smells like. Or like a very light sandalwood scent. It's really nice. Glad it's part of my collection.

Bottle leaked

The smell is Divine, but the bottle wasn’t well sealed and leaked like a 1/4 of the contents from my 8oz bottle. Im really upset by it as it’s not cheap.

Live in CA and I just can't...

Got a small amount for myself and I love it. I cannot, however, use this to blend with because I live in CA and my customers would have to be informed about the Prop 65 content. Finding the right F&M that isn't too powdery (so many of them are) is awesome, but its just no good to me and that is a shame. I have to order from other companies and that means I end up purchasing a small amount from here, and larger amounts in other places, which I would absolutely spend here. This is such a staple scent for so many. Please, please, please update this so it isn't cancer causing and (if any way possible) to have a higher flashpoint. Even five more degrees would make the world of difference. Either way right now if I brought this into my shop the entire line would end up not selling because this one product had to have a warning label.

A classic scent for good reason! I absolutely adore it. Its fairly strong, but there's no complaints from me

Frankincense and Myrrh is a huge seller. It is smooth and lovely. However, I did have to eliminate it from the candle line I created for a skin care company because of the Prop 65 warning. Please update it soon!!! I would give it 5 stars if not for that!

Thank you for the feedback! We are working on an update for this fragrance so definitely keep an eye out!

Too strong

This scent gave me a headache! Didn't really smell of frankincense much. More of a strong perfumey smell. Was looking more for the one that smells like B&BW version.

Pleasantly surprised

When smelling it in the bottle I wasn't too impressed. But when I mixed it in with my candle it smelled amazing. This is one of my top 3 scents.

I love that damn FRANKINCENSE!!!! it is one of my favorite scents. I have to say I have not been making candles long and it is very few scents I received I didn't like. I basically love them all.

Wow impressive

This is a lovely sent was quite unexpected it has an amazing hot and cold through in perfectly wax I love it it’s very soft and can be feminine or masculine either way it’s a very nice fall fragrance

Scarlett Lites

Sells way to fast in my boutique!

I've made this fragrance for the last 2 years during the holidays to sell and it is snatched up quickly by happy customers. Great cold & hot throw, too!
Please remove the toxins that give me an uncomfortable feeling in my stomach about the CA Prop 65 ⚠ Warning. I may have to go with another supplierif not.

Hi! Thank you for the feedback! We are working to revise any fragrances that have Prop 65 warnings so keep an eye out for a new version to be launched within the next year, if not sooner! You can read more about our revisions process here:

Nice but not quite

First off, this actually does smell good, and does scream Christmas . It definitely smells like Frankincense and myrrh, but It almost has a candied orange note that I can’t get over. Slightly powdery note I was expecting at the end (most Frankincense and myrrh FOs do, so I was ready for it.) If I could rename it, it would be called Candied Orange and Amber.

BAC Home

I just absolutely love it. Reminds me of childhood holidays.

Great scent!

I mix this with Nag Champa and I absolutely love the combination in a candle!

Modern Magix

Frankincense & Myrrh

Loved this scent, fresh and clean. Will be buying more.

My Favorite!

After reading the comments I was a bit hesitant...Someone said the scent smells like moth balls...Let me start of by saying it does NOT smell like moth balls!! In fact, it has a very pleasant smell. Very fresh and intense, but a nice intense. I love it. I wish I ordered more than just 1oz!! I'll be adding this to my must have collection.

Perfect for women!

Ok I always check reviews before buying a scent I don't know about and then I decided to check out one I am familiar about to see if its true to smell. OK the comments are their own opinion and that is fine, but people at least know that every company is gonna smell different. I know that it should smell at least like the real source of the name. This is is mild and strong at the same time. For instance even though baby powder is for babies its still a strong scent that you know from anywhere. This Frankincense and Myr is what I know it to be anywhere though and frankly it's kinda hard to not be. I was just reading comments like duh its supposed to be strong but relaxing. Most people like this smell in Body butters or incense. I think candles would be nice as well. I don't know about soap but possibly great.

Best for christmas

Everyone loved these!
I would recommend selling / gifting these around Christmas

Wonderful Candles

Better than expected

I was pleasantly delighted by this fragrance! It is a strong fragrance oil but yet quite relaxing. It is also a very nice scent to blend with other oils.

Tried this fragrance believing it would be exotic possibly. Oh No! It has a chemical smell. My son asked me was it mothball scented and said it may do well with the elders and mothers of the church. Definitely not what I was going for.

Great cold and hot throw, Customers love it.

ungodly awful

This has no connection to smelling like Frankenscene or Myrrh. If you are expecting that you will be disappointed. There is nothing AT ALL exotic or mysterious about this scent, its very synthetic like chemical baby strange they market this as smelling like those resins. Overpowering & horrible.

Really strong

Used at 10% with para soy blend igi6006. The smell is much better in the wax than in the jar. Could only be lit for a few minutes because the smell was overpowering. I will try next fall using at 6 or 8% because I like the fragrance and think scaling back will help. I learned by slowing down the cooling process eliminates sink holes and this one sinks. I heated the oven to 170 to heat jars and turned off the oven while I poured. Then carefully put the candles in the cooling oven to slow the cooling process with no sinkholes. Also it didn't sell well. Hopefully next year with less fragrance it will sell better.

Mixed feelings about this one! Very overpowering, but customers seem to like it. Didn't work well with Golden Brands 444. Sink holes, and major discoloration. Other fragranced batches turned out fine. Any suggestions?

Be careful in Cold Process soaping: this fragrance may have the scent that you want, but it heats up and accelerates. Plan accordingly and work quickly!

Love this scent

We are a new company making beeswax candles. When we were looking to expand our selection for the holidays this year we bought the Frankincense & Myrrh just to try it as my wife and I have never smelt it before. We are so glad that we tried it. We fell in love with it and our customers as well. Well done CandleScience!!!!

Beeswax Candle Maker

In love!

I am positively IN LOVE with this scent! I had a request for "something that smells like a Catholic Church incense" and I thought instantly of Frankincense and Myrrh. I didn't expect to love it as much as I do! It's definitely something I'm going to order again - even if I just use it for myself!

Finally Found It!

I have been searching for this version of F&M for a long time and trying every vendor. One day CandleScience had a FO sale and I decided to try this company and their Frankincense and Myrrh and at last my search was over. I use to buy candles and bath products from a vendor who seemed to have a unique version of this scent. I tried to find it everywhere and now I know where they got it from, haha!

I am looking forward to making my own candles and bath and body products with this fragrance.

It is not your typical F & M as it is more feminine and soft with a powdery background that reminds me of either light baby powder or the lady slippers orchid candle from Yankee candles but not quite. Not the resiny or earthy fragrance one might typically expect with Frankincense or Myrrh alone. I love it! Please do not discontinue this version.

I love this!!

This is one of my favorite scents. Earthy, mystic and luxurious.

Candle Maker

Wow! I was a little hesitant about pulling this scent into my line-up, but I needed something to round out my selections. I can not believe how well this scent sells (soy candles). It has become one of my more requested scents, all year round. I would've never thunk it, but the customers love it and I'm going to give the customers what they want!!

I was really excited to try this scent, but it's intensely chemical and really off-putting. The scent dulls a bit when used in soy wax, but the unpleasantness doesn't abate at all. I don't think I want to light these candles, much less give them away or sell them. This scent was two thumbs down for me.

Please do not ever stop producing this is one of my most requested holiday fragrances....I use it only in candles - a para/soy mix and it is wonderful ---

does not smell remotely like frankincense

This smells so nasty - like baby powder and cologne from a dollar store. It has nothing in common with the way frankincense smells.

Not a fan

I don't understand how folks like this.....very strong in CP soap. Smells like Old lady perfume. I fell for the name. Oh how I wanted this to be good for a Christmas soap but I just can't give it to anyone.

I have used this scent on my candles, melts, soap, lotions and whipped body butter and not one person has said they did not like the scent, instead they said they love it. By far my most selling fragrance oil, love it.

SR Handmade Soy Candles, soap and body lotions

This is my best seller, all year round! Please never stop making this wonderful scent!

I had no idea what this would smell like and was pleasantly surprised! I tested it in tart form first and it was so strong, I had to turn off my warmer for a bit. Filled the entire house! It might be my new fav!

Not a fan

I was really hoping for a great strong scent and this ,to my husband and I, just smells like baby powder. Very light mild scent that won't fill up a room. Not a fan of this scent

Love this scent! This is one of our best sellers no matter where we show. Nice hot throw in votive candles and wonderful room-filling scent with tarts. Ecosoya PB Pillar wax.
Also great in melt-and-pour soaps. Customers come back for this scent every year. Love!

Susan Kennedy

no hot throw and doesnt smell like frankincense and myrrh

I got a sample of this and it doesn't smell like frankincense and myrrh to me. When i used it in pillar blend soy wax i did not get a decent hot throw. cold throw was good but smell overall isnt to my liking.

My wife hates it, I love it! Awesome throw in wax. hot and cold. The proof of how good this is in sales. Had it for years big seller, sells all year long.

Rick-Cuyahoga Valley Candle

decent throw hot and cold in GB464, but the fragrance is awful. There was no complexity to the scent, it just smells like my grandmother. If you're looking for a nice grandmother scent, this is the one for you. Otherwise, skip it.

Not quite what I expected.

I love Bergamot and Sandalwood, as a massage therapist I use both of these essential oils in my massage oil. I was hoping that there was only a hint of Patchouli. The only thing I could smell was the Patchouli. However, if you want a strong scent, this is the one. Glad I tried as a sample first.

Very Strong

Although I do not care for the scent, this fragrance has excellent hot and cold through in soy wax (I used a fragrance load of 12%). It just has too much of a patchouli scent for my liking.

Just like incense but better!

Made soy candles with this fragrance and its awesome.
Smells like incense without the smoke.
I sell incense in my store and frankincense is a year around favorite.
Thanks for making this one!
