I was very excited to try this but not what I expected to be: very disappointed and the smell is not pleasant at all. I almost threw up

This is such a sexy, woodsy blend. I love it. Got it as a sample and am so happy I did. I am back for more! In room sprays it has staying power and fills the room with such a gorgeous, seductive warm woods smell. I plan to put it in everything I can.
THIS fragrance should be named Palo Santo. The candle science palo smells like men’s cologne. This is a much better match and I LOVE it!
I mixed this half and half with toasted pumpkin spice and OMG it smelled absolutely incredible. I colored it with CS black liquid candle dye. I let them cure a week and lit my sample tonight. I could barely smell a thing once lit for over an hour. I have used toasted pumpkin spice in so many candles and know that it always has amazing hot throw. Not sure what happened here but it seems to be the smoked oud which is an absolute bummer as this is my fave combo I’ve ever done based on cold throw.

This scent is amazing! I mix it with Alpine Balsam and the combo smells like a cozy chalet in the woods. Outdoorsy with a touch of smoky fire scent!
Many at my day job are participating in our downtown's Trunk or Treat and I took that opportunity to add yet one more skill, pillar candles. I knew I wanted black, cuz obviously, but wasn't too sure about scent so I ordered the 1oz sample size. I poured 2 3x6 pillars, slightly over 2lbs of was, and that 1 oz sample was more than needed.
They're curing in my spare bedroom right now, just poured yesterday morning, and the scent is detectable as I walk past the doorway. I wasn't too keen OOB but the fragrance is pleasant and reminds me of sitting by the fireside, bourbon in hand. I may need to buy more once Halloween is here and gone.
This smells really nice. I’m including it in my Christmas line as a bonfire type smell. Unique fragrance
when i smelled this straight out of the bottle, i honestly hated it. but i know that people go crazy for smoky scents, so i wanted to at least see what it smelled like in wax. and let me tell you- this is AMAZING. it's sexy, it's smoky and makes the room feel so cozy when burning. just try it! and don't judge it by it's first whiff!
I made a test candle with 10% FO and let it cure for only 3 days. Out of the bottle I was all about it. But in a candle, it was very strong and I just couldn’t agree with it (unfortunately). But I can see why others might like it. It almost gave me a headache. Maybe user error, as I’d imagine this FO still giving great HT at around 7% without such a pungent throw. Overall I wouldn’t personally order again but would recommend this to others to use as a blender oil just like fireside, whiskey etc. It’s very much earthy, masculine, smoky and leather-y all in one.
Made a double-wicked candle of this with 464 with just 1 week of cure time and it blew me away! I love the scent but I do see this as a polarizing fragrance. The incense of this really shines through. Frankincense and amber - that sweet, earthy combo just filled the room beautifully. I don't really see this as a campfire kind of scent but the branding of this as oud, middle-eastern mysticism is on-point. Thank you for this, Candlescience. Blind-bought a 16-oz bottle on the very first day and when I got it, ordered another.
I tired this out as the free sample when I checked out. It smells amazing. To me I smell the vanilla with sandalwood the most. It is nice and not overpowering. I am going to try this out in a 464 soy wax candle. If the CT/HT are good, then I will make more.
This scent is so luxurious and wonderful. I got if for my fall candle line but I will be using it all year round.
Love this scent! I'm always trying to find a new smoky scent as Fireside and Suede and Smoke are my favorites. This one is amazing and I'm already thinking of all the combos I can make with it! I made a Halloween themed candle called Séance with this scent mixed with Vetiver and it smells incredible!
It’s great alone or mixed. I mixed it with fallen leaves.
This fragrance oil smells like incense and woods!
Fabulous! I wanted a Cozy Cabin scent and mixed this with Fraser Fir and it’s right on the Cozy Cabin I was looking for.
