We did not experience acceleration or separation. The batter was very slow to come to a trace and was easy to work with. There was no discoloration and scent was strong. This would be a good fragrance to create a multi-color swirl or intricate designs where a fluid batter is ideal.

Scent is so personal, and not everyone will love the same fragrances. That said, this smells just like the smell you get on your hands after picking fresh tomatoes (not sure how they did it, actually). It's such a specific scent, so although my sales were not initially huge with this one, I'm keeping it in the lineup. There are definitely customers who love it, and my sales have jumped since I renamed it (I never use the CS names anyway, but the first name I chose was not a winner; the second name was a home run). If you like the smell of tomato leaves, give it a try!
Absolutely love this scent and it's a favorite of my friends. I've gifted many candles over the years and feedback is this is a unique and fresh scent that's reminiscent of spring and summer outdoors with fresh green leaves and grass.
While I have nothing bad to say about this fragrance - it really does smell a lot like a tomato plant (the green part, not the actual tomato), and has great cold and hot throw in soy 464, for some reason my customers don't love it as much as I do. I've tried it in several different blends that I personally loved, but my sales are always super disappointing on them.
It just smells like a really bitter leaf that was crushed up. Definitely not something i want my house to smell like. Reminds me of picking soda apples all summer, not in a good way.
I'm an avid vegetable gardener and bought this with the idea of making soaps to remind me of summer during the colder months. Unfortunately, this smells nothing like tomato leaves. It reeks of citronella and the overpowering generic perfuminess of a Yankee Candle store. Disappointing and gross. I'm going to throw it away.
I love the smell of tomato leaves and this scent was amazing! i'm so glad I purchased it.
I’m doing some farmers market related scents and I thought this one might be good for it. OOB it was ok. Smells exactly like tomato leaves. Kind of interesting. I put it into some 464 to test it. It has excellent hot and cold throw. Unfortunately, the novelty of it smelling like tomato leaves wears off about two minutes after the candle is lit and then it just started to bother me and after awhile it just grossed me out and I finally put it out I just couldn’t stand to smell it anymore.
So it gets some stars for its performance and the fact that it lives up to its name but no, thank you, I’ll pass on ever smelling this again.
I got a 1 oz sample of this fragrance a while back because it sounded intriguing, but I wasn't sure if I'd like it. After sampling it, I can say that I do! It's pretty much a dead ringer for exactly what the fragrance is named, tomato leaves, and if you've ever grown tomatoes, you'll know what I mean. It's vaguely "herbal" (not exactly minty, but that's close if you're not otherwise familiar--the smell is nothing like the fruit) but still light and refreshing. I used it at around 6% in 464 wax and the cold and hot throw are both great. Can't speak for bath/body products, but it would certainly be a unique scent in any product!
This is my all time favorite. It's both earthy and sweet. Great feedback from all those who smell it.
Used in 464 soy wax with a 10% fragrance load.
I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about this scent, but it smells just like a garden! It’s very fresh and herby and makes for a perfect kitchen candle. The CT and HT are strong.
I'm diffusing this oil in my kitchen and living room right now. Very strong scent throw. I can taste it in my mouth when I walk in the room. And I only used a few drops in my diffusers. I use the T4U Aromatherapy Ceramic Tealight Oil Diffusers from Amazon. They hold a lot of water in them and work very well with the fragrance oils from Candle Science. I like the Tomato Leaf scent. I'll just have to use a little less next time. I will buy this oil again. It really freshens things up pretty quickly!
I was beyond thrilled when I saw this was an available CS scent. Tomato stems are one of my favorite scents. I made CP soap with it and some turmeric-I will say, it is really strong! Made a few batches of soap and the tomato scent is the one lingering in my kitchen. Next time, not sure if I would use as much. However, I am really pleased with the scent strength. It definitely smells like tomato leaves, with a definite citrus air to it. Would definitely purchase again, I think it's fairly accurate, just beware of the strength.
This is the best summertime and kitchen candle scent. It’s perfect on its own but also blends well with citrus and other herbals.
Five stars
It smells just as good as everyone else has said! Literally just like fresh tomato greens.
I'm completely in love with this scent! It smells just like the vine you pulled that tomato from. You know, that dark green stem smell that is simply olfactory heaven! I know this is meant for candles and soaps, but I use a few drops in my diffuser and it just relaxes me beyond belief. It's so soothing and comforting. Given it's the middle of winter right now and I don't have a garden to go play in, this is the next best thing. Thank you so very much for creating this amazing scent!
It is exactly what it says! You cannot go wrong with this fragrance. It's a beautiful summer line AND you will not believe the expressions I get when I tell people I have a Tomato Leaf fragrance candle. They all want to smell it.
Stop thinking about it and buy some FO
This smells so different than anything I have ever smelled and it smells GREAT! It is hard to explain. I use this with comfort blend in a 3 wick candle.
Excellent fragrance! Top notch and you hit it on the head ! Smells exactly like a fresh tomato straight off the vine ! You can even smell the stem !! 👍🏻👍🏻
Truly does smell like tomatoes fresh from the garden. the scent is long lasting in my soaps. description of how it performs in cold process soap is spot on.
It's such a unique scent from the typical sweet candle smell. People love the garden smell. Nostalgic.
I wasn't sure how my customers would react to this fragrance; They LOVE it. Some even got emotional saying it reminded them of their childhoods. This is such a wonderful summer fragrance.
Ordered this on a whim and I absolutely love it! I usually only love bakery scents so this is a welcome change for me! It smells like a summer garden without being savory or sweet. It’s extremely smooth without any sharp or overpowering notes. To me, it smells super high end and unique, soft and earthy without smelling like dirt.
I receive allot of orders for this scent. People love it. It smells just like a tomato leaf.
One of the best scents!! Smells savory and herbal - strong and distinct without being overpowering. Works nicely in candles to cover up cooking smells. Fried chicken where?
I got this as my free sample.
I've been experimenting with a few blended garden scents for a spring line (Candles, with 464 soy), and Tomato Leaf has been my secret weapon - it smells quite herbal and leafy, so when combined with florals or herbs in a low ration (1:3, for example) it creates a complexity to "normal" scents that's hard to put your finger on. It just gives them an authentic spring garden sort of feeling!
I'm not sure I would ever use it on its own because it's such a specific scent, but I'll certainly buy a little more to add as an undertone to garden scents.
I was skeptical but needed to replace the Basil & Herb fragrance in one of my candles. This smells so close to the real thing! I was very surprised. I currently mix it with Citron & Mandarin and it's a great leafy addition.
Absolutely loved! Savery smell of a fresh grown tomato vine!
Love this FO but I found my tomato leaf soy wax candles turned yellow over time. I used a 6% FO load. kind of a bummer.
Beautiful, FRESH, earthy. Makes a wonderful kitchen candle. Unique!
This smells very true to life. Not perfumey. Very fresh could be a good base to add things to like time or rosemary
I love unique scents and couldn't pass this one up. It smells just like a tomato plant which I love. Super excited for such an interesting scent.
It does not smell like tomato leaf at all. I was expecting a fresh leafy smell. It has a strong perfume smell.
This is an amazingly true to life tomato leaf fragrance. I LOVE it. It hangs in there forever in cold process soap and always gets a big "Wow!" from my customers. Whoever created this fragrance is a genius!
This is a really unique, unexpected scent but I love it! It smells just like a summer veggie garden; fresh and earthy with a little bit of zing. Great kitchen candle!
It smells like a tomato plant! I used my 1 oz. sampler in 3 pounds of CP soap, and I would say that any more would be too much. At this percentage, the soap has a fresh, clean tomato smell. It is amazing how good it actually is in the finished soap! Perfect Summertime kitchen soap.
This has quickly become my favorite scent for spring/summer. I've purchased it a few times, and mix it in 464 with Rosemary FO, it smells just like a beautiful herb garden! The scent alone OOB is so plant-like and a bit earthy, which I imagine would be too much for some. I've used in candles and wax melts now, and it performs very well. I highly recommend for anyone looking to add an Herb fragrance to their collection!
Absolutely love this fragrance! A natural touch of herb, zing, and earth tones. Great job CS for capturing the essence of nature. Added this FO to both soy 464 and 444 with great HT. Also, combined this fragrance with a touch of your Basil and Herb FO..... Outstanding end product. Will be one of my summer favorites. Must give it a try- you won't regret it.
Absolutely love this scent!! It captures the very essence of an aromatic tomato plant in my summer garden! Love the strong cold and hot throw. A definite addition to my summer scents!
I wasn't sure if I'd like this scent, but I decided to try a sample size and was blown away. It's incredibly true to life - green, herby, with almost a hint of spice. It smells exactly like tomato vines in a garden. I made a candle and some melts with my sample bottle and could barely wait a week to light the candle. This is going in my summer collection!
Very different. I gave it 4 stars because you either love it or not. I really think its different. Goign to purchase a bigger bottle and making candles. Very different.
that unmistakable of tomatoes freshly picked on a hot north carolina day... this is it. candlescience nailed it, and i can't wait to make this a staple scent in my collection. if you love that summer garden smell, try this out! you won't regret it!
This scent is true to life! Bring backs memories of picking tomatoes in my grandpa's garden from my childhood summers! Amazing!
