Product Update: October 13, 2021

Due to supply chain challenges with White Straight Sided Tumbler Jars, we have changed suppliers to offer a nearly identical container. It is 3 mm shorter and the diameter 1 mm larger. They still fit our Metal Flat Lids. Please note that these containers are now imported. We currently anticipate this product will be available in Winter 2021.

Clean and sleek, our White Straight Sided Tumbler Jars have a glossy outer coating that diffuses candlelight for a softer glow.

We also carry the straight sided tumbler jar in additional colors and sizes.

Looking for a lid? Try our silver, bronze, gold and black metal flat lids.

How much wax will it hold?
Wax Weight (to fill line) - 8.5 oz.
Volume (to overflow) - 12.1 fl. oz.

Looking for a wick suggestion?
GB 464 - CD 18

Need packaging for this jar? We have options!

I love these jars, I added them in my shop and are a customer favorite and look beautiful. I can not wait for the other colors to come back. I would LOVE a pink jar.

Love these jars. These are what we use for our regular line. Is there a more current update on the eta of these?? Will they arrive on time for the holiday season??

White/ black jars

I’m so very discouraged these jars aren’t available, I could cry ugg. Your customer service has always been great and I know that if you could stock them you would. I have a very established candle business around these in black and white along with the white box but now I have to source new vessels, start over, go thru testing, produce new product photography and update my website. It’s so hard for small businesses to stay in business. I don’t know if I can’t absorb the cost of starting over. These previously said in stock end of July so I held out but now saying Sept, it’s impossible for me. It would have been helpful to have been notified sooner that this delay was coming up.

My favorite

This is my favorite jar and is a staple to my new candle line! And it’s always out of stock!! Very sleek looking and works well with any design

Wicking issue

The jars came in good condition However, Can someone tell me what size wick(s) I should be using with the Apricot-Coconut wax. I've tried one CD12 and it mushroomed...would I be better off using a wood wick???

Hello I use igi6006 and wanted to know which wick works for this candle and if I used a wooden wick which would I get?

CandleScience Reply

Hi There! Thanks for leaving a review! The recommend wick to use would be an Eco 8 6" pre-tabbed wick. If there is anything else that we can help with our support team will be glad to help at support@candlescience.com!

nice look & quality

I'm very impressed with look, quality, and price of these modern looking jars. A great streamline style that will be part of my permanent line. Very impressed.

PERFECTION!!!!!!!! placed my order and received it 4 days later, in perfect conditions therefore making Beautiful Wassail Candles ❤❤❤ if I could add a picture on here, I would!!! Love buying from Candle Science, I have NOT had a bad experience as of yet, and don't expect too either. Scents, Jars, Wax, Wicks and Dyes, all Perfect!!!

Scratches / Marks

I love the look of these jars but I am finding scratches on almost every single one. The paint is always chipping and I end up waisting product because of it. I just fulfilled an order for 50 candles and can't tell you how many I had to discard before shipping because I discovered a new scratch or mark. I really don't want to because I love the look but I am going to have to find new jars if these ones keep coming with marks.

Some small scratches on the paint here and there, but overall, these work well for the price.

I love CS and its products, but my last oder came quickly but, the jars came with some crash on it, I know they are painted but, common CS, we are paying for a quality jars not as discount ones.

Scratches on most of the jars. It makes them look cheap!

I like the size and the look of the jars, but most of them have scratches, which makes them look cheap and I am trying to make my candles more elevated. I have ordered 24 white and 14 black. So far the black ones are with fewer scratches, but the white ones are on every jar. Very disappointed and also the shipping is very expensive and on top of that bad quality! I won't be ordering again for sure. Looking for alternatives.

These jars are perfect!

These jars came in looking absolutely beautiful. The “frost” on the glasses looks great and looks even better when the candle is burning. There was a bit of a shipping mishap (16 of the 60 I ordered came damaged) but customer support immediately shipped me a new set of 24 and told me to keep the old ones incase I can salvage them!

In terms of wick sizing, the recommended CD18 does tend to tunnel a bit with GB464. I tried with CD20 and it burns too hot (flickering flame and a lot of mushrooming) but the melt pool is full and the throw is amazing for such a small jar. Pros and cons, I suppose!

Wick Suggestions For Coco83

I've literally spent so much money on wicks but nothing seems to work. I was testing wooden and ribbon wicks but they both burn too hot and when I try to size down they tunnel. What wicks would you suggest I try for this container using Coco83?

Just got the jars today and I am very pleased with them I have ordered from others in the past where lids didn't fit and didn't have half the appeal these do I will order more

I am very pleased with my purchase. All jars came intact. They are very Sturdy too, I dropped one on my hardwood floors on accident and there were no damages.

Expected more

I ordered 3 cases of these white jars. I was looking for a glossy look. Unfortunately this is not it, it looks better in the picture. It seems like they have been painted some did arrive scratched and you can see through the jar. I thought this was the ending of my search. One thing I did like fast delivery I disliked how my items were being shipped from two different locations and because of that I was charged twice for shipping.

White tumblers

I was so scared to order these jars as I don’t live in the USA. Based on the reviews, and the journey it would take, I imagined every single jar broken. Well guess what? Every single jar was received intact and trust me that box passed through many hands. Thank you CandleScience for a well packed box!

Extremely disappoint

Extremely disappointed in these jars. Bought them in amber & white despite all of the negative review. Practically all of the white jars arrived scratched and unsellable - one was even broken (which is expected at times). They felt matte, but not in a good way. Almost like they were spray painted white, very cheap. Amber jars were better, and glossier than expected, being how the description said it was painted on the outside. I was hoping to rebrand my line with these but I guess it's back to the drawing board.

I love this container and use it in black, clear, and white for various candle collections. I would really love to see a white lid for this container released. The black on black is so sleek, and the white lid with white tumbler would be a major upgrade! This container is reliable, and I have never had any issues with it.

Wick & Wax

Hello. I have seen various suggestions for Wicks pertaining to this container. What wick works best for this container? Also, which wax do you recommend as being the best for this container? Last, does the fragrance amount change with this container. Sorry so many questions, I am very NEW to candle making and have only previously used the tin containers. Thanks for all suggestions!

Tumbler Jar

Just bought the tumbler jar, wants to purchase more, however, wondering if wooded lids are something coming the future. Thanks.

Hi! While we do not have any wooden lids currently, we do keep customer requests in mind when we develop and test new additions to our product line. It's best to keep an eye out for your email newsletters for any upcoming news!

We love these tumblers. Our customers are enjoying them very much! The boxes that you can purchase for them are an amazing option and make stocking them on shelves a breeze!

Struggling with Wick

I use soy 464 and I have tried the recommended wick of the CD 18, didn't get a good melt pool or good HT. Then I went down to 16 same things and then went down to 14 and still noticed the melt pool was better but not even. I am starting to lose hope, any recommendation candle science?

Rustic Love & Co
CandleScience Reply

Hi! If you are not getting a full melt pool with the CD 18, you may actually need to increase a size to the CD 20 to help get a more complete melt pool. We typically expect to see a full melt pool within 2 hours of lighting the candle so you may want to test the CD 20 to see if that helps get a better pool which will also help your hot throw!

Handmade by Gwen

I bought these and I’m using the 444 wax with the CD12 wick and it’s still not giving me a complete wax pool. Is there another wick you recommend?

CandleScience Reply

Hi! For the 444 wax and the straight sided tumblers, I'd recommend testing with either a CD 20 wick or an ECO 14 wick. Our Wick Guide can be a helpful tool for seeing different wick recommendations for different sized containers as well: https://www.candlescience.com/learning/wick-guide. I hope this helps but please feel free to reach out to our support team with any questions or concerns at support@candlescience.com and we'd be happy to help.

Ehhhh disappointed

I ordered these because I always hear pretty great things about Candle science products. I was disappointed by the finish on these tumblers. They don’t look as frosted/glossy as I would like, in fact they look a little cheap and flimsy looking. I want to order the black but I am afraid based off of my experience with these, that I will be equally as disappointed. I also used the wick that was suggested for this tumbler (Eco8) and that did not work out well at all.

Could be better...could be worse.

Are these the absolute best frosted jars on the market? No.
The coating on them doesn't appear to be evenly applied. At least on my initial order of them, they're not horrible, but if you look close enough, you can see the imperfections.
Had one damaged in shipping and CS immediately fixed the issue (I mean within five minutes of sending the email about the damaged one I had a response stating they're sending a replacement), so I do appreciate that.

cheap quality

I just received my shipment this is the worst cheap quality jar ever purchased, they all scratch on the sides and on the bottom, the paint job is bad un even, doll, not smoothie rough to the touch and the box of 12 was missing one, quality control is poor, this would never should happen to any of us that trying to make our business stand out. won't purchase again , looking for another supplier.
PS:The one that I purchased previously was 100% pretty and better quality, glossy smooth and perfect.

Love them but a bit disappointed

I bought 5 cases of this lovely straight sided tumblers and I was so happy to get them!!! All were fine but one case, where one of the jars was broken in pieces, I mean im still gonna keep getting them cuz they are great. But I wish they would be handled with more care since they are glass. But I still also love them.

Very Sexy Jars

I've been using these jars for a while now and I love them! They're very sexy and look great with the bronze lids. I double wick my candles with the eco-8 wicks and they burn great for me.

No good

I was hoping that once they launched the new ones that they would be a better quality. Not the case. These still scratch easily and most come chipped already.

Sadly I will have to find another supplier cause I cannot use these.

CandleScience Reply

Hi! Thank you for speaking with us and giving us an opportunity to help with your damaged jars. If there is anything else we can do to help, please don't hesitate to reach back out.

These containers do look cheap and not luxe and high quality as other places. They will do the job for a now starting business but just aren't that great compared to other manufacturers. Candle Science has limited vessel options anyway. So CS is not on the top of my list for quality vessels.

These new white candle jars are still SUB-PAR, and my clients are noticing that they are missing paint and look cheap. I had to find a new supplier, but when they are out, I have to still rely on these - for now - unfortunately. The latest shipment I received from CS last week was a total disappointment, and I'm actually embarrassed to sell these to clients as a luxe soy candle. There are major areas where the paint is flaked off or uneven. Several of the jars even had actual chips in them. No pride in the manufacturing of these anymore...as even the boxes they came in were haphazardly taped and looked messy.
Bring back the old jars or find a better alternative, please. Raising the price for a sub-par product that you still have not corrected does not give us customers confidence...and while we realise that some changes can't be helped, we do expect excellence in what we are spending OUR hard-earned money on.

Love the looks of these jars! If I'm using Q220 soy wax, what wick do you suggest I use?! Having trouble..

CandleScience Reply

Hi! We would usually recommend starting with an LX 26 wick for that wax and container. We'd be happy to help you troubleshoot further if you'd like to contact us at support@candlescience.com!

Very pretty!

Uniform white color to the tumbler, looks very upscale with a 2 or 3 inch square label. Very happy with my purchase.

Perfectly imperfect

I love these jars. Sleek and beautiful. Although some people aren't liking the inconsistency in the paint, I have no problem with a distressed look. (It's not that often though). It gives character. But if you're looking for total perfection, then these may be a little tricky. I love the size but make sure to look at the size before purchase in case its smaller than you hoped for.

I had no idea why I assumed these jars were bigger. So I’m a little disappointed but I have orders to place so I have to make due. I hope these will come in much larger sizes in the near future! I would’ve left 5stars but they’re smaller than what I wanted

White Candles Jar

I am very happy with these white jar , for me they look amazing! They’re fancy and very elegant for my candles.. I love it 🥰

Lynette M Cora

Beautiful and durable

Love the look of these and how neutral they are with most decor. That being said, I dropped a box of candles (Box wasn’t even full, so plenty of room for jarring around) and NOT ONE BROKE. One or two may have gotten scuffed, but overall, I’m very please.

Love these

Everyone loves the look of these. Goes with most decor. Very durable. I had a whole box of candles fall out of the back of my truck and NONE broke. Maybe a few minor scuffs, and a few dented lids, but I was impressed.

Wish they were better...Disappointing.

I was eagerly anticipating the new jars but have to say I am hugely disappointed with them. The paint has been clearly tacked on the outside and easily chips off. They look cheap and awful - for my elevated brand these are a complete disaster. I wish they were better but will now need to look for another supplier. What happened to the old jars?? These ones were great and super premium.

I ordered these hoping they would be a better option to the clear ones that I have seen so many negative reviews in consistency. I love the white but there are some areas you can see sections that did not get painted well and it is not smooth looking and a solid white. This can be a problem especially if I want to use these for my line. I love the straight tumbler idea for my candles but may need to revise what I use. So frustrating. Hope this issue can be fixed
