Yeah, so I have had a lot of people ask for Sandalwood, but never had anyone ask for the scent of a library (Characterized by the smell of musty old books.) Another bad decision. Someone at Candle Science needs to be held responsible for these bad decisions.

I'm REALLY upset that this scent has been discontinued. It has been my #1 seller for years. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE bring it back! If candlescience values the opinions of it's customers at all.......bring it back.

It was unique. I brought antique sandalwood from different company it was complete different Scent. Please bring it back we love it soooooo much

NOOOOOO!!! I think I'm going to cry! I received a bottle of this lovely FO from a friend & held onto to it for awhile while I smell-tested other Sandalwood FO's. This beat them all out, hands-down! It's rich, woody & warm, complex, but not complicated... It's GORGEOUS! I used it as part of blend in a CP batch for a custom order (equal parts "Antique Sandalwood" to a "Lemon Verbena" FO I had from another supplier that was missing something... "Antique Sandalwood" completed it!). It behaved great! No A or R, and no D with use of mica colorants. My client LOOOOVED the soaps! They were for her AirBnB, & she said her guests couldn't get enough of it! I just came back to order more, as my client has requested that the soaps keep coming, and idk what I'm going to tell her now :( I'll have to find another sandalwood, but I already know that nothing is going to hold a candle to this one (I've smelled most of them already). I'm so bummed! I understand if CS must discontinue this, but it doesn't hurt to kindly ask to reconsider (pretty please)!

Why discontinued? I visited today with this #1 on my list to buy and now I can't. Due to scornful reviews ppl leave on here at whim? Well, wasn't mine. My customer in NY will be so disappointed and I don't think your Library Book will suffice.

This isn't a scent I would use alone. Its a very musty fragrance but AMAZING for mixing to get that antique note for specific scents. There's nothing like it out there! love it!

This FO scent is very true to its description, a very musky, musty and earthy wood scent. It reminds me a lot of an old wood cabin on a lake that I spent time in growing up. Scents like this are rarely done realistically and are usually excessively powdery or perfumey, so this FO is a rare gem if you like genuinely musky/earthy wood scents. Throws strong and true in paraffin candles. Will be getting a big bottle of this next time I place an order.

I wasn’t sure if I would like this smell but wanted to give it a try. Surprisingly I love it. I love the soft sweet wood smell. I definitely feel this is more of a man’s scent but I use it in the bathroom and love walking in smelling this soft scent.

l personally love the scent. strong cold throw. recently launched my jar candle and still gathering feedbacks.

Thought I would hate it, just smelling the bottle, but it actually smelled great once it was in the candle.
