I love this FO! I think it's a true gingerbread scent and has just the right amount of sweetness to it. if you're used to sticky sweet bakery scents then this might not be for you. it does have a ginger forward scent out of the bottle but cures in soy wax to a lovely balanced true gingerbread cookie scent. a must try!

Honestly this smelled like curry to me, not gingerbread. Not a good fragrance as I'm not a big fan of the smell of curry. My mother (who has the nose of a bloodhound) agreed it wasn't great and she likes curry more than I do. Might want to go back to the drawing board with this one, Candlescience. Kinda disappointed, as I was looking for some nice fall and winter fragrances to really launch my brand over the coming months. Gotta say though, I'm happy with almost all the other fragrance oils I've ordered so far, including a few other fall and winter fragrances.

Not so great :/

I ordered 3 large bottles to make Christmas candles. I had to stop making them because the smell made me nauseous. I literally put the candles I did make outside because I couldn't take it.

I'm usually not a big fan of Gingerbread fragrances but this one is really good. Staff favorite!

Love Hate Relationship

When it arrived I absolutely hated the way it smelled from the bottle. I continued to sniff over the next couple of weeks, and still had the same reaction. Not gingerbread at all. Then I used it for a sugar scrub. A little better, but still not my favorite. Then I made bath bombs. Now we're talking! This smells amazing in bath bombs, and almost good enough to eat. So, I went back to smelling it from the bottle. Still hate the bottle smell.

Used in CP soap. My husband came downstairs and asked if he could grab a few ginger snaps while they were warm!!😂😂😂

First time candle maker - this is good!

This was my first time making candles and I had a good experience with this fragrance. Hot throw is decent and cold throw is amazing. Used 1 oz fragrance in 1 pound of GB 464 wax. It's a warm and sweet holiday scent!

Order at your own risk.

I had 2x 1oz of this scent...unfortunately it smells terrible in the bottle and as a candle. I'm not sure why the first bottle smelt burnt and the second smells like curry. I still haven't opened the second bottle so if I could return that would be great!

Lisa

I understand that it doesn't smell like true gingerbread, but when it burns in wax, it smells more like a true gingerbread! I really like it.

Warm & Cozy for the winter

This scent gives a warm feel to the home. Doesn't work well with the soy wax 464 lx 8 1" wick

Scent is not accurate

Got this in the mail a few days ago, and the first thing I thought was that it smells like cherries. Doesn't smell like Gingerbread what so ever.

Ginger Bread FO is Super Strong .

I love this FO has a great cold and hot throw ..! Works great in my Paraffin Blend.

Beware

So I love this FO. To me It is spot on Gingerbread and great for candles. However, beware if you’re making soap with it. It behaves well however, I used it with brown mica and it turned my soap gray. The color change was immediate when I added in the FO. So I’m not sure how it will effect other colors but definitely don’t use with brown mica. Maybe brown oxide would hold better, I’m not sure. I’ll know next year when I remake this soap.

Its ok

I’m a new candle maker and I must say,, OOB I absolutely wish I never bought this scent,, it’s so strong, I talked myself into just making the candle, not wanting to waste money,, to my surprise I actually like it when the candle has solidified,, not quite a Gingerbread smell but it still gives you the warm Fall feeling. over all it’s ok

Not Quite Gingerbread

This is a nice and pleasant scent. However, it is missing tinge of ginger and spice for my liking. To me it smells more like maple syrup but my son loved the scent and I take his opinion very seriously. I will be adding this scent to my holiday line.

Aroma & Roses Candle

We Shall See

In my opinion, OOB this smells peppery, but after mixing it at 10% with 464, I was able to smell the ginger more. This makes me look forward to the test burn after its 2wk cure. Overall, not a bad scent, at all.

VigorWicks Candle Co

Not Quite Gingerbread but Amazing Still

So this scent is amazing OOB, definitely has a strong scent. However it doesn't smell like gingerbread to me, more of a spiced egg nog. You definitely smell the cinnamon, but it isn't overpowering. I plan on using this in my holiday collection so now is the time to stock up on this scent!

IN LOVE!

First review! I cannot stop smelling my CP soap that I put this in, it's so, so pleasant. It really smells like gingerbread with just the right amount of spice smells and sweetness. Super satisfied and I would 100% recommend and will be purchasing again!
