EZ Wick Setter (Multi Wick) Tool

The EZ multi wick tool is the best way to quickly and precisely wick double or triple wicked candles. Use one plunger in the center, two in a line, or three in a triangular configuration for precise control of wick placement. A single candle maker using the EZ wick setter along with our Wick Stickers can easily wick dozens of containers a minute. If you're making double or triple wicked container candles, you definitely need this tool on your bench. Pairs well with our 8 oz. and 16 oz. Apothecary Jars.

The multi wick tool fits containers with an inside neck diameter from 2.75 to 3.75 inches (7 to 9.5 cm).

  • We do not recommend double wicking containers under 2.95” (7.5 cm).
  • This tool can also be used to set a single wick for containers under 2.95” (7.5 cm).

Note: This does not fit our 3-wick tumbler, which has a 4" (10.2 cm) diameter and is too wide for this tool.

Don't give me any lip...

I am sure this is true for the Single and Multi Wick. I have the Multi and plan to get a Single, but may wait to see if they modify this tool first as it REALLY needs tweaked.

This would be a better product if the size sections were at a smooth 45 degree angle and not trying to fit exactly.

With two types of candle jars the exact same size, one with a millimeter lip and one without, I broke two with the lip and just went back to the old fashion way with them. And no, I wasn't jamming it in the jar. They broke while taking it back out, not going in. I am just glad they broke on me and not my daughter.

The no lip jars it worked beautifully.

If the maker does not make a change, I may see if I can have a tradesman tool this to an angle or see if I can find a 3D print that is smooth like Memory Box Candle Co has. Looks like her hubby printed their plastic part and used the plungers from this.

Don't do what I did.

I couldn't stand the white knobs falling off all the time so I superglued them on. Unfortunately the glue dripped down the tubes, clogging them and now it's useless. Ugghhhh

Hey Nancy! Thanks so much for your review. I'm sorry to hear about your experience. We're looping in the Product Development team so that they can be aware of your interest in a Wick Setter that has knobs that don't come off as easily.

Pleasantly Surprised!

I've been having trouble making my wick even only to find out it's uneven after it's been pored and set. I've been disappointed in the past, but never again. This EZ Wick Setter is a godsend. I watched the video on how to put it together, fiddled with it a bit and viola it works perfectly. On my way to professionally looking candles.

Options?

I like this product and use it on my single wick containers with smaller openings, but what are our options then for the larger 3-wick containers? With the clear containers I can turn it upside down and center it pretty well that way, but I really want to create a line of products with the black glass jars.

Not worth the investment

Not really worth the investment. The round plastic piece doesn’t fit that well on a 10 oz container… so it shatter the last black tumbler I had. I actually started using it in the 3 wick tumblers because there is a little gap. I’ll just stick to the large boba straws to set my wicks

Only useful with clear vessels

Seems like a useful tool, I purchased it to help with double wicking since other vendors who offer wick centering tools are always sold out. I tried it but unless you're using clear jars, there is no way to see where the wick should be set. I thought this tool would have more of a guide on it or that the holes would be specifically measured for the right size vessel. There are 14 holes in the pattern of a peace sign and you can use any of the holes, which is great for flexibility but again, only for clear glass.

I'll keep it in case I ever use a clear vessel that this tool would fit with (I doubt I will) and it's inexpensive so I don't feel like I wasted too much money. I've seen several other candle makers who use these standard jelly or apothecary jars use this and it works great. But if you're using a colored vessel, I wouldn't recommend this tool.

Ineffective Tool

My jar is within the range and the setter fits perfectly. However, the the shortest distance has the the wick bases hitting one another. When I open it up wider, it's much too wide and will have the wicks too close to the glass. Why does it advertise that it will work for a specific range of vessels, and it does not? I've read this exact same issue in the reviews. I am extremely disappointed and even more so that I have to return it and pay for shipping. I was ready to try my new wicks.

Saves me time!

This works great with the 16oz Apothecary Jars! Great way to set my wicks and not stressing if they're centered.

Pain

Didn’t like the fact you had to put it together yourself. No instructions on how to put together and the tops on top are to big and are not a snug fit to stay on
