Rich and sticky-sweet with a splash of boozy bourbon, our Butterscotch and Bourbon fragrance oil is the perfect way to indulge year-round. Sweet butterscotch and brown sugar middle notes are spun with top notes of peppercorn and warm cardamom to evoke memories of homemade golden confections. At the base, notes of aged bourbon add a hint of warmth while oak and smoky patchouli enhance the richness of this scrumptious scent.

Add this comforting confection to your collection with indulgent candles, wax melts, and tarts. Or, expand your product line into soap, lotion, or sugar scrubs.

This fragrance is infused with natural essential oils including orange peel, clary sage, clove leaf, eucalyptus, lemon, and lime.

Candle Maker’s Note

Let this fragrance oil dry down on a blotter strip before judging. Smelling out of the bottle (OOB) results in strongly sweet, almost singular butterscotch notes. The spice, booze, and woodsy notes add a beautiful complexity to this fragrance that only really shines after it dries on blotter strips or, even better, in a base of wax or soap.

Blends well with: Snickerdoodle, Vanilla Chestnut, Sweet Tobacco, Vanilla Eggnog, Sel de Mer

Alternative branding ideas: Butterscotch Brulee, Sweet Bourbon Caramel, Salted Butterscotch

Suggested colors: Golden Brown, Caramel, Deep Tan

CS -- what on earth is this?

Just like with White Oak & Vanilla, Vanilla, and Sweet Tobacco, there's a really harsh chemical top note that pierces your nostrils.

Sometimes that note is mellowed out - like in Black Absinthe - but other times it might as well be floor cleaner. I love you guys, but I don't know who wants this in their home. Are we gathering feedback from enough folks before launching these?

Team at CS! Mellow these out much, much more! And gather more opinions! No bueno.

OOB review :)

This smells SOOOO good! I can’t wait to try it out. OOB is delicious and on a blotter strip is just so rich and sexy. I even brought the blotter strip with me to work so I can keep smelling it LOL! I think this will be a best seller.

OOB review

First of all, when I saw that CS finally launched a Butterscotch Bourbon I got SO excited. I get almost all of my fragrances from CS and this was one of the ones that I had to get elsewhere and it is my #1 seller for over a year now in my signature collection, so being able to have this with you guys is great! First impression OOB is it does smell different then the one that I use from another supplier which smells more sweet than this one does. Not necessarily a bad thing though, just different, I think its the peppercorn/cardamom top notes that are coming through. I'm going to test in a candle and see how it compares. I do want to say that I may even like this one better for a year-round fragrance then the other one I have just because it seems to have more depth to it, it's more warm and spice rather than just a simple sweet buttercotch. I'll return with an update after curing/testing!
