We did not experience any acceleration or separation; however, this may be very dependant on your formula and temperatures. The batter was quite slow to come to trace, to the point we questioned if it was trying to separate. We continued stick blending until it came to a light trace. After 30 minutes in the mold, the top had a very grainy texture with a shiny, oily look instead of the typical matte look. After 24 hours the scent was strong, and the soap bars were not oily. The outer edges of the bars were a peachy light brown color while the center remained a pale yellow color. The scent was quite strong. Initially, it appeared that the soap did not go into a gel phase at all, but after the 30-day cure it became obvious that it reached a partial gel. By this time, the peachy brown discoloration was even throughout each bar.
