Product Notice: This fragrance has been retired. However, we have blend using two great alternatives we think you’ll love: Moroccan Cashmere + Sel de Mer.

Sea Mist fragrance oil transports you to a hilltop overlooking the summer sea. Top notes of citrus, sea salt, and ozone add a marine accord that envelops the floral heart of jasmine, lilac, and orange blossom. Base notes of amber and tonka ground the airy quality of this oceanic scent. Fragrance candles, wax melts, and reed diffusers with Sea Mist and bring the fresh, ozonic atmosphere of the seaside to any space. In soap and other body care products, the bright and salty accords truly shine.

This fragrance oil is infused with natural essential oils including orange peel and lemon peel.

Blends well with: Cactus Flower and Jade, Calla Lily, Pineapple Sage

Alternative branding ideas: Mermaid Lagoon, Seasalt and Ozone, Citrus and Sea Salt

Cold Process Soap Performance

Acceleration
Slight
Discoloration
Light Brown
Separation
None

Lye Water Temperature 111ºF (43.9°C)
Oil Temperature 107ºF (41.7°C)

There was minimal acceleration and no separation. We blended to a medium trace and poured into the mold. We noticed the last bit of soap started to stiffen as we scraped the bowl but tamping the mold on the counter easily smoothed out the surface. After 24 hours, the scent was a little light but had a wonderful salty ozonic quality. We observed that the soap reached a partial gel through the center of the bars. The soap bars had a light yellow discoloration. After 30 days, the scent is light but has a beautiful salty air quality. The bars discolored to a caramel shade but the area that went through gel phase is brown. Due to the light acceleration it would be best to mix in your colors first then add fragrance last. This would be ideal for a fun spoon swirl technique.

Another One Bites The Dust...

I feel as if CS is trying to take down our candle company. Every time we turn around yet another one of our best sellers is being discontinued. Not sure if we can continue to rely on this company and their products for longevity and continuity of our brand. RIP Sea Mist. :(

Light but beautiful scent

I would describe this as mostly a subtle sweet and light orangey scent. For me, it gets overwhelmed easily when it’s mixed with other scents, but I love blending it with Black Cardamom and Cream in candles.

A great performer

I ordered both Sea Mist and Sea Minerals, not sure if there was any mistake but they smelled and burned 98% the same. The other 2% was me trying to tell myself they're different. I poured and burned both back to back, so my memory was relevant when comparing them, which may make my review inaccurate between the 2.

Both were great, for both CT & HT, very strong OOB so don't judge before pouring candle. And then one day, I tried a new perfume on my skin, it reminded me of this fragrance so much. Not saying this is a dupe for that expensive perfume, but maybe like... comparing orange to tangerine, the 2 fragrances that are going for the same direction. Can't believe I would say it, that perfume is Love Don't Be Shy by Killian although the perfume is more heavy on the floral side. Was my nose crazy? Or anyone think the same?

This type of fragrance is not my cup of tea. But I get it. People out there like it. Even big perfumer makes a fragrance smell that way.

Sells like Seanik

For years I looked for a dupe for Lush's Seanik solid shampoo and couldn't find anything that was really spot on. I was not looking for a dupe anymore when I ordered this. I was so delighted when I realized the scent was spot on!

Its got an amazing CT, I cant review the HT yet because it's still curing

Really enjoying this Sea Mist Fragrance. It can accelerate slightly, since I split my batch in half. I walked away and did some shaping with half the soap batter, then came back to my pitcher and it was soap on spoon. Pretty firmed up. So, I whipped up a new half batch and continued. Results were gorgeous and colors vibrant in CP. The smell is clean, a light salt, and fresh. Out of the bottle I thought I would not like it at all, then I really loved it in soap. So give your fragrance a chance to develop, they won't disappoint. :)
