Sea Mist fragrance oil transports you to a hilltop overlooking the summer sea. Top notes of citrus, sea salt, and ozone add a marine accord that envelops the floral heart of jasmine, lilac, and orange blossom. Base notes of amber and tonka ground the airy quality of this oceanic scent. Fragrance candles, wax melts, and reed diffusers with Sea Mist and bring the fresh, ozonic atmosphere of the seaside to any space. In soap and other body care products, the bright and salty accords truly shine.

This fragrance oil is infused with natural essential oils including orange peel and lemon peel.

There was minimal acceleration and no separation. We blended to a medium trace and poured into the mold. We noticed the last bit of soap started to stiffen as we scraped the bowl but tamping the mold on the counter easily smoothed out the surface. After 24 hours, the scent was a little light but had a wonderful salty ozonic quality. We observed that the soap reached a partial gel through the center of the bars. The soap bars had a light yellow discoloration. After 30 days, the scent is light but has a beautiful salty air quality. The bars discolored to a caramel shade but the area that went through gel phase is brown. Due to the light acceleration it would be best to mix in your colors first then add fragrance last. This would be ideal for a fun spoon swirl technique.

soy candles

Interesting reading the other reviews. I do think the floral notes are what sets sea mist apart from the other "sea scents" on purpose. They have to have different notes otherwise it would all be the same. By itself in 444 soy wax at 7-10% is very nice. Seaside garden. It does blend well with other scents. Love it and recommend it.

Sea mist

I don’t typically write reviews, but I’m going to write them for the scents I ordered because I know that’s how I judge the fragrance oils when shopping for candle scents. I saw reviews warning buyers that sea mist has a strong sweet smell and also that it smells “grandma-esque”. Those descriptors kind of hit the nail on the head. I don’t dislike the smell of the fragrance however, I’d mix the scent with another oil to draw out that ozonic profile that I can smell beneath the grandma perfume scent it initially puts off. Still trying to figure out a good scent to blend with it. 3 stars because it has potential but I wish this scent was closer to high tide and less sweet. Hopefully this helps.

My favorite ocean fragrance!

Best out of all CS Ocean Profiles

Of all the Candle Science Ocean fragrance profiles, Sea Mist comes closest to the smell of the ocean. Excellent option and worth a try if you are looking for a hint of sea breeze to blend with.

Smells like laundry detergent

If you like how laundry detergent smells then it smells great. If you don't want a candle that smells like laundry detergent then keep shopping.

This scent is divine. I am so picky with fragrances. This is THE ONE. Amazing scent for candles. I mix this with black coral and moss and WOW. This scent is it!! Beautiful.

Lovely Sea Mist

I think this scent is just lovely. It's very light, but in a good way - not too light.

This is a great scent, but sweet for a sea mist smell. I live on the beach so I can smell the different mists. Its a really great scent, but beware of it being on the sweeter side.

Love it!

I love this scent. It’s light, clean and very ozonic. Reminds me a little bit of shampoo but it smells good still.

Don’t overlook this gem...

In a word this scent is OZONIC.
It is the fresh realness that many beach/ocean theme candles lack. I wouldn’t suggest using it on its own as it is very light. It is definitely an essential mixer for me. It goes with so many scents to add that layer of perfection.

Not The Same Fragrance

Disappointed that new oil doesn't smell like the original version. It is too different to pass off as the same candle. The hot throw is also lacking intensity.

Love it!

Great CT and HT for my candles. It will be a great seller.

Liked the previous version better

The discontinued version of this oil had a much better scent. While I love that there is no Prop 65 warning anymore, the new scent just smells awful. Like a previous review for this, I agree with the "grandma's house" smell. I even had a few friends smell the new oil and they all thought it smelled unpleasant. Used this for one of my popular products and am definitely searching for a replacement oil that matches the previous version.

Not my favorite...

I was not a fan of this oil. I can't think of any way to describe it besides "grandma's house"...and I don't mean cookies and tea. It had a surprisingly powdery smell. I asked 4 other people and they all agreed. I'm sure some people will love it but I won't be buying again.

This scent is AMAZING! My testing with paraffin waxes in both containers and wax melts was 100% successful. Both cold and hot throw are strong but not overpowering. I will be rolling this out for sale this coming weekend and expect it to be a best seller. I have to put this in my top five personal favorites!

Perfect summer scent. I ordered a sample and that sold immediately so I will be purchasing a large bottle. Best summer scent I have experienced so far!
