Product Update:
You may see some variation in the wax coating on the wick due to different coating processes. The variance of the wax coating on the wick has no impact on the burn of the candle.

About the CD Series
CD (Stabilo) wick is a flat braided cotton wick with paper threads woven into the cotton. The reinforced construction of the wick is designed to ensure a consistent burn with higher fragrance loads, especially with softer, more viscous natural waxes. The superior rigidity of CD wick allows the wick to stand up straighter for easier pours and keeps the wick upright in a deep melt pool.

Note: Any carbon buildup should be removed once the wick is extinguished.

CD wicks are lead and zinc free.

For help choosing the right wick for your candle, visit our wick guide.

Conveniently secure your wicks with Wick Stickers (large) or Wick Stickers Pro.

Mostly great
Krystal 2025-10-06

I have been using CD wicks for a while now and overall I really like them. My only issue is with soot on the jar. If I go lower on the wick size the melt pool isn’t hot enough and tunneling sometimes occurs.

Burns to the edges of the jars!
Kasey 2024-12-10

I was having an issue with the Eco 2 6" wicks for my 8.5oz black matte tumbler jars as they were tunneling and, as a new candle maker, I couldn't figure out why! I thought I had used the recommendations on CS but when I went back to the recommendations again they suggested the CD 20 6", so I must have done something wrong the first time, but we live and learn! I'm having a great hot throw with these and they are burning to the edges of the jar now, I'm ecstatic! The only thing that I have a question about is the wick is mushrooming a lot and I have to keep up with wick maintenance more than other candles I've bought or made in the past. Overall it's a great product and I had a lot of success with my last batch. Thank you!!

Soot & mushroom but good hot throw
Lisa 2024-01-08

I’m unsure of my next step. If CD 18 has best burn but this cd 20 has best smell but WORST burn -as in it mushrooms, leaves black soot, flame gets very high, then what is the “in between” wick size I should use???? My diameter on jar is 3inches , the Libby straight sided jars, & I’m using my own 80/20 soy coconut blend. I’m stuck!
