Choose a Variant

Product Update:
You may see some variation in the wax coating on the wick due to different coating processes. The variance of the wax coating on the wick has no impact on the burn of the candle.

About the CD Series
CD (Stabilo) wick is a flat braided cotton wick with paper threads woven into the cotton. The reinforced construction of the wick is designed to ensure a consistent burn with higher fragrance loads, especially with softer, more viscous natural waxes. The superior rigidity of CD wick allows the wick to stand up straighter for easier pours and keeps the wick upright in a deep melt pool.

Note: Any carbon buildup should be removed once the wick is extinguished.

CD wicks are lead and zinc free.

Conveniently secure your wicks with Wick Stickers (large) or Wick Stickers Pro.

My go to wicks

Fantastic Wicks

I love the CD20 wick in my 8oz tins. Never have a problem clogging or achieving my melt pool. They do soot and mushroom more than other wicks, but that’s just a small price to pay for consistency when it comes to my hot throws. I use both 464 and my own blend, and performance is great for me.

4 out of 5 Stars.

I've used this wick for two separate jars - the white nordic jar and the 8 oz tin, both with 444. For both, this one provides an excellent cold throw like my cd 12's do with my medium straight sided jar. I was able to achieve a full melt pool for both, but it isn't until almost 3.5 hours of burning. I do abuse burns on my candles quite often to test the limits of them (since I truly can't determine how my customers are going to burn them) and these performed well during these burns. However, they do soot a lot especially if you aren't trimming your wick and the flame can get quite large in the tin, hence the four star rating.

Disappointed..

I used this wick in my 8 oz tins with GW444 wax and I didn't achieve a full melt pool even after 4 hours. They actually performed exactly as the CD 18 wick did so I'm not sure if I was sent the wrong size in error. They look to be exactly the same diameter.

i got these wicks because the ECO wicks are out of stock, and they are horrible. i am so disappointed with how these wicks are working. they don't stay lit and don't melt the candle all the way to the edge, even though i used the wick guide and ordered sizes bigger than suggested. now i have 200 wicks i cannot use

Wick 20

I’m so disappointed I purchase these hoping for a full melt pool in my 8oz tins. This wick failed me 🤦🏾‍♀️ Go up a little on the wick if you have tins.

I used these in the 8oz mason which has a width of 2.9", the minimum for these wicks and unfortunately the smoke factor when I extinguished them was extreme. They also mushroomed up on me. I used 444 wax with a 6% fragrance oil load. On a positive note, they did seem to make the HT stronger, but overall I couldn't stand behind these wicks.

Excellent Wick!!!

I have never had a complaint about this wick. The wick will mushroom after extended use but all CD series wicks mushroom, it's just more noticeable on the larger wicks so trimming the wick before each use I would recommend. CD 20 burns nicely and gives off a great fragrance through.

Perfect for the Straight Sided Tumblers!

These wicks are perfect for the straight sided tumbler. I know CS's recommendation was a CD 18, but in all of my testing, I never achieved a full melt pool. So I went up a size and I noticed that the HT is a lot stronger with these too for what I'm using. I use 464 and CS FOs and I am so happy with these wicks. No mushrooming, no soot, and no excessive flame. All in all, a great and reliable product!

When I was researching the straight sided tumbler jars, I didn't see a lot of consensus regarding the wick size so I thought I'd throw this out there! As always, test test test - but hopefully this helps someone!
