LX 14 6" Pretabbed Candle Wick
Choose a Variant

Product Update:

You may see some variation in the wax coating on the wick due to different coating processes. The variance of the wax coating on the wick has no impact on the burn of the candle.

About the LX Series
LX wick is a specially braided flat wick which maintains a slight curl when burning. The curl moves the tip of the wick into the hottest part of the flame, which helps to minimize or eliminate carbon buildup (mushrooming), reduce smoking, and provide a 'self-trimming' effect, which creates a very stable and consistent flame. LX wicks are lead and zinc free.

For help choosing the right wick for your candle, visit our wick guide.

Conveniently secure your wicks with Wick Stickers (large) or Wick Stickers Pro.

Perfect Combination wick, wax and 4oz tin

The Lx14 wick is great with the Comfort Blend Wax. Especially in the 4oz tin. The burn was great and the wax melted all around. I tried the Lx16 and it was giving off too much soot. As well as burning too fast in the wax.

Works well for my coconut beeswax pillars

I am not sure why but so far these wicks are working very well for my coconut beeswax pillars that I made. I am pleasantly surprised! Thank you Candle Science :-)

Inconsistent Burn

I echo the same sentiments as some of the other reviews. I thought it was negligence on my part but I always wick test my candles for quality assurance. I didn't have any issues with the 100pc LX 14 wicks but when I ordered the 1000pc box, I noticed that the flame wasn't high and was only a breeze away from burning out. I burned through several candles and experienced the same problem. I wicked up to LX 16s but that is inconsistent - either too hot or just right. Very frustrating and inconsistent!

Not what they used to be!

I always follow the candlescienc wick guide when buying containers and wicks because they would know best right? Except now I have an entire batch of candles that doesn't have a large enough wax pool!

Enjoy these but wondering if I should try something different

I've been using these wicks for all of my candle needs. They seem to work even when I make 2 & 3 wick candles in larger containers.

Good one, but I need thinner

I like these wicks. No complaints at all!
But I noticed that this size is big for my candles, would you be kind to recommend a thinner wicks please? I need thinner and way longer wicks for soy pillar wax candles. Please help, thank you!

Owner

I have finally been able to order the Eco Soya CB-135 wax...YAY finally available and, based on the reviews, I can't wait to try it!! The LX wicks are recommended. Just wondering if the CD wicks that I have been using for my 464 could work as well? Also, if the CDs are acceptable, do I have to make an adjustment for the size of the jar opening? I just ordered the Eco wax today so would appreciate letting me know so I can order the LX wicks, if needed, ASAP. Loving all of your products and I can't pour the candles fast enough for my customers. Wishing there wasn't a 2 week cure time after pouring LOL

Great Wick Size and Series

We struggled a lot with the ECO series in our parasoy blend and experienced smoking and heavy soot residue. We switched to the LX series and could not be happier. I am very pleased with the results. We triple wick our tumblers with LX14 using no fragrance and no candle dye as our baseline. Works great. As we add FO and dye counts, we wick up to LX18. Again, works great for our candles. I also private label and we use the LX 20s in our double wick apothecary jars.
