Hi guys. I purchased these wicks and using them in the Libby tumbler jars. I use the wick guide that you provide for the wax and jar. These wicks don’t really perform that well with Eco Soya pillar wax. I initially started with a single wick in the middle of the jar. That caused extreme tunneling. And the flame on the wick seemed to be very small. Then decided to add a second wick. That helped out with the melt pool. But still didn’t melt completely. It appears that the wicks are only capable of melting a 1 inch circumference around themselves. So I then had to add a third wick to the jar, And finally I achieved a full melt pool. The only drawback is this cause the candle to burn really quickly. I was only able to get 20 hours of burn time for the total candle. Additionally, there’s this black film that circles around the wicks. It’s like soot on the candle wax instead of soot on the jars. It interferes with the fragrance of the candle. I can smell the fragrance, but it smells like burning wax. If that makes sense lol because ironically, that’s exactly what it is. But the point is the candle smells like burning wax instead of some thing, enjoyable, and pleasant. The intended fragrance is noticeable, but faint. I was thinking about wicking up to a stronger wick, and starting back over with a single wick in the middle. I would really appreciate if you guys could help me determine what I’m doing wrong here. Not to worry though, I’m happy candle science customer, and enjoy doing business with you guys. But this is a problem.
